"My mom was at Beach Terrace. It was a very comforting place. The people were extremely nice. The staff and all the workers, they were all really, really helpful and knowledgeable. They did a great job with my mom. They were very accommodating, so it was a good experience. I was really happy with them. The place was clean and in a very nice shape. Everything was well taken care of. They were just very understanding. And it started with the receptionist when I walked in, she's a very sweet girl. The menu was good and the food was good, too. It was good quality. I watched a few of them bowling, and then a church group came in and did worship, and that was good. They had a lot of activities. Once a month, they had something where they invited the families. It was very affordable, and cheaper than most, for sure. There was nothing I wasn't satisfied with."

"Emeritus looked wonderful but also expensive. The staff seemed very pleasant and accommodating. The building was just redone and it was beautiful. Their rooms were extremely small and their prices were very high. "

"They have five different floorplans available. My friend picked the plan that has one bedroom and one living room and has a total of 550 square feet. This is enough space for him to feel comfortable, as he has the privacy of his own room. It also allows him to entertain guests such as myself in the living room. The place is fully furnished. There's a lot to do around the community. There's a library, so it's good to read or play board games at one of the tables. There's a courtyard space with lots of lush vegetation, so it's comfortable to take a walk and enjoy an evening stroll with pleasant conversation. There's an arts and crafts room if he feels creative and wants to make something with other people. There is also transportation to take residents to local areas such as the mile square park or the beach. There is never a lack of things to do here. The care here is great. They have a 24-hour staff that is attentive to details. Packages include grooming, medication regulation, personal laundry, grooming, and others. There's a spectrum of how invasive you want the staff to be, and they're happy to accommodate. Overall, it seems like my friend is happy. "

"Meadowlark Gardens I was very nice and clean. It was a regular house in a regular neighborhood, and that was what I was looking for. The staff who assisted me with the tour was very friendly and helpful. I saw some residents there in their wheelchairs watching TV. I saw a private room, and it was very clean and very nicely decorated. The courtyard had tables and stuff."

"My brother is moving into Brookdale Valley View. They're sending their nurse down to have an interview with him before he goes. My review right now is very positive. They were very, very helpful. They were shocked that the other place had not provided any physical therapy for him. The place was immaculately clean and very impressive. We didn't have the food, but it looked like it was a really nice selection for everybody. The people were very open to discussing what we were disappointed about and what we needed. They said, "We'll take care of that. We need to fix this." Their immediate thought was to fix it. He's going to have a really nice room and he's going to be able to go right out the door and go into the backyard. They also said they have animals come in to visit once a week, and you can go out and stay as long as you like with them, which he would love. They have a lot of nice amenities there. They have several places you can go out and relax and meet each other. They have rooms for doing crafts and things like that. They have rooms where you can go and play games with people, which is something he really was looking forward to. The two ladies I met were both lovely. The facility looked pretty good to me. They offered a room where he would have another person. They gave us a discount for the first four months, which is really nice, and that's when he's going to be having the rehab. Maybe by the end of the three months he'll be able to get around better."

"My mom moved to Park View Estates Assisted Living & Memory Care. It's great, nice, clean, and professional. As far as caring, they make sure that the senior does not fall or hurt himself, but you have to do a lot on your own, or else you have to pay extra fees for extra care because they're understaffed. She has a good-sized studio with a microwave, sink, and refrigerator, and the food is good."
