"I’ve moved my father into Fox Ridge. I’m very pleased with the care and the staff out there. The community is very friendly; the whole place is very clean. Really good place. We liked it the best, and my dad seems to be happy there. They have social get-togethers all the time. Every Friday, they go out to lunch; they had a big poolside party on the 4th of July. He likes the exercise classes because he likes to socialize. They have movies and a movie theater. They even have church there. "

"Mira at Maumelle didn't have their ducks all in a row. They have people living there, but it's just hard to tell how that's going to pan out. And it was a little further out than we wanted. The person who took us around was not the normal tour person because it seemed like he had way too many things on his plate, and that was a little disturbing. Their dining area was nice. However, I don't remember that much about them because as soon as we got there and saw how disorganized they were, we knew it wasn't for us."

"I toured Willow Grove of Maumelle. The staff was very friendly and very energetic. The facility was very large and clean, and it had a quiet atmosphere. They have activities outside of campus where they take them out in the city and then they have activities there."

"Mt. Carmel Community at The Village has independent living cottages. They're extremely nice, have full kitchens, two bedrooms, a dining area, living room, and a garage. They have two different club houses and they have a variety of activities. They also have access to a fitness center in the village that they pay a membership fee for. The staff is excellent. They have housekeeping twice a week and meals are included. The cafeteria is excellent and everyone I talked with had nothing but good things to say about the food."

"Fox Ridge is clean. The people are knowledgeable and keep me updated on what's going on. I am very happy with them. My wife has been in their memory care for about a month already. Her room has all the furniture in it. It is kept clean every day, and I feel very confident that she's being kept safe there. The dining area is clean too. She is very happy there, and they keep her busy with all kinds of things like walking. I have no problems at all with them."

"My mom is a resident of Seniors Comfort Assisted Living. I liked the staff, and I don't have to worry because I know she's cared for. I like the fact that she has her room, a bed, a recliner, and a TV in the room. It's like she still has the comforts of being at home. They take them to an appointment. They have home-cooked meals three times a day. They have snacks. They give their daily medicine. Elijah, the owner, is a very caring man. He's a wonderful person."

"We went to The Brookfield at Oaktree. We met with the one in charge of memory care, she's really sweet and looks like they do a lot for the people there, and have lots of activities. So that sounds good. One lady came in to show a picture that she'd colored, and they did all kinds of art projects. The rooms were big. They were twice as big as the rooms Mom's in now. I didn't see a pool or gym, as far as the library, she's got a cabinet there with a bunch of books in it, and I'm sure people just donate books to it. So it's not a lot of books. But the one thing I did like about it is that the memory care is in a separate building. They have their own area where they eat, and they have their own courtyard for memory care. It's built around its own little courtyard so they could get outside whenever they want, and then walk around the courtyard or sit out the sun or whatever."

"My mother moved into The Manor Benton. It was very clean and very cheerful. As far as the décor, the way it's decorated, and the colors of paint and stuff, I always think it's cheerful when I go in there. The nurses have been very nice, very attentive to mom, and keep us informed too on how she's doing. They do have some activities, but in memory care, the residents were not that capable of doing activities. The food looked appetizing and good. I haven't tasted it, but it looked fine. Based on everything that we looked at beforehand, the price is about average. So I wouldn't say it's cheap, but I wouldn't say it was the most expensive. They have a TV, and they do have some games and things. They have a little outdoor area that they can sit on the patio. But as far as other kinds of amenities, I don't know if there's anything else for memory care. I think there may be some other things for the assisted living and the more independent living residents."

"I did not feel comfortable at The Greenbriar on Stagecoach. They charged $20 each time to drive people to their doctors or stores. Their pricing was cheap enough, but you get what you pay for; it had a smell to it, and the building looked like it needed some repairs."

"We went to see The Blake at Chenal Valley's memory care and it was excellent. It's new and it was just everything you could want. Everybody we met, including the marketing lady who gave us the tour, was excellent. We walked through the dining room and everybody seemed to be loving the food. I think the place is only two years old so the building itself is beautiful. They had crafts, music, and an area where they watched movies."

"Woodland Heights was amazing. The staff who helped me was outstanding and extremely helpful. She's been following up with me constantly. My parents went to see the facility two or three times. I personally love it. We looked at the independent living facility, and we looked at a two-bedroom with two baths. They are a great size with large balconies and a great view. It was very clean. They have an indoor swimming pool and water aerobics every Saturday, which I thought was amazing. On the premises, they have physical therapy. They had designated things for the ladies to do and an area for the men to hang out. I loved it because it didn't feel like an older people's home. I really enjoyed it. They had an event when we were there, and the food was great."

"All of the people at Presbyterian Village seemed friendly. They had a lot of activities, and everybody we met was really nice. The rooms were adequate, very well-maintained, and very clean. Everything in the whole place was very clean. They had a courtyard in the middle that you could sit in and watch the fountain, flowers, or the animals like the squirrels and the birds. They had cottages if you want a bigger place."
