My father is in Twin Lakes Therapy and Living. Things have changed dramatically with him, so they're taking really good care of him, given the situation that he's in. Communication is really good. The staff is great. They're easy to get a hold of, and they answer all my questions. It's very clean. There's a lot of good interaction with the patients. He's in memory care because of his advanced dementia.

This facility is below standards. I gave one star only because I had to for the survey. My mom was admitted for rehab after congested heart failure. I had to tell them to give my mom a shower even though they said they had a twice a week schedule. I had to ask them to change her bed sheets. There was feces on the toilet lid which I showed a manager. When she was first admitted, it was 3 days before they did her laundry. I had requested they do this from the beginning. They did not put her name in her clothes so I had to track them down. They dropped the ball on her diuretic by not giving it to her so she got pneumonia and congestive heart failure again. This caused her to be weak and unresponsive. Because of this, they threatened to "kick her out" if she did not participate in physical therapy. After 30 days in there, they sent her home unable to get up or around the house by herself without supervision. Worst of all, they called DHS to inspect her home. I was told this was a state law. When I asked for the law, I was then told it was company policy which they couldnt find the policy. Then I was told DHS rarely come out. DHS came out and have to investigate any call. DHS said it was a waste of their time and wasnt sure why they were called. DO NOT take your loved one here!
