My father-in-law is at Crimson Village. I like the people. They're kind people. I like the amenities and the cleanliness of the facility. They have outings. I like the fact that they have a back area and that they can take them outside that's enclosed. So those are very nice. We're very pleased with the services. No complaints so far. With regard to food, he seems to like everything. Their dining area is very nice. They all eat together. They'll set it up before they get in there, so when they bring them in, they're all ready for them. It's very nice. It's like a nice little community. It makes them feel like family. As for activities, my father-in-law has only done a couple of things so far. But they're doing as much as they can. My father-in-law is one of memory care, and he can't do as much as regular assisted living, but they do a lot of activities with them.

Mother in law stayed there and it was great facility. I would give it a high rating. I was really happy with it. I think the care is good. I'd rate the building and living comfort highly. I spent a few days in town and was there for three or four different days when the building had just opened. It’s very clean. I had lunch there, and the food was good.

Mom stayed at Crimson Village and that place was awesome. It's nice. It's got a nice cafeteria and nice rooms to do stuff in. Like a movie theater and anything you want. It's a good place. Probably the best assisted living place in Tuscaloosa. The staff was good and friendly. They take them to all their doctor's appointments. They take them to different shopping places. They take them out to eat. They do lots and lots of recreational activities with them. Money-wise, it's the best place. It's a little expensive, but it's not bad, considering what they give. The food is nice. They have some very nice food. The cafeteria is good.

I already had a history of Crimson Village. That's where my mother-in-law and father-in-law were for assisted living. So, I already knew about how they do and how nice they were. We've been there numerous times and it's always clean. The staff is always professional and friendly. When you walk in, it almost feels like an apartment complex, but with a doorman. My in-laws were just elated about it, so when I took the tour with my mother, she fell in love with it, too. The dining area was huge and well-appointed. You can eat snacks any time you want. The kitchen is always open. The dining room has numerous tables, but they're not like clinical tables. They were wood and the chairs were nice, very comfortable, and all padded. It overlooks the courtyard, which brings in a lot of natural light. We saw the 'club suite'. It's like a studio efficiency. There's plenty of room for seating if you have company and plenty of room for the bed size that you're used to. The bathrooms were well-appointed. It has emergency pulls near the shower, near the toilet, and another one near the bed and the living area. All of the residents have a life alert pendant that they wear, too. I am a picky eater and I have tasted their meals in the past and they're always very tasty. They don't serve the bland food that you normally equate with assisted living. There is a huge theater where all of the Alabama home games are played, a spa where you can order a massage, a whirlpool that's used by anybody, and different puzzle rooms on each floor. Each little waiting area has a nice TV with a nice sound system, but the main thing about Crimson Village is that it was built after the tornado hit in April 2017. While they were building it, it has three safe rooms and they can accommodate every single resident and employee comfortably.

My biggest issue with Crimson Village was that my mother's doctor didn't visit there. It was nice, but it was a lot larger than where mom is now and I didn't particularly care for that. They had two different size rooms. The room that we preferred was a two-bedroom. The regular room they had appeared too small for me. The staff was very cordial. I liked it, but the doctor was a bit the deciding factor there. They have games, arts and crafts, puzzles, and different activities. It's just like the one where my mother is right now, but the doctor was the deciding factor. The dining area was nice. The facilities were a little dated.

Crimson Village was a very nice place. It was a little unusual where they had most of the residents in memory care. You go down the hall and the rooms are part of the hallway. The nurses' station was right near there and that may have been part of the purpose of it. We did eat a meal there, and it was very good. They have a theater that also doubles as a safe room. They have a little outdoor area, and they have activities even away from the facility. Overall, it was a nice place. The outdoor space was attractive, spacious, and safe. It was a courtyard where they couldn't wander off. It was very convenient for the memory care people; it was just nearby. The staff who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable and gave us information about some of the other assisted living and nursing homes. I believe he says that that's part of his job there is to assist people, like if someone has to leave to assist them in getting somewhere else. He was very knowledgeable and very nice.

My mother-in-law was at Crimson Village memory care, and they did a very good job trying to keep the residents busy, and they also mainstreamed them into the assisted living area. They had very good activities there. However, there's always a staff turnover. You go in and see somebody for three to four weeks and then the next thing you knew, that person was gone and somebody else was there. They didn't seem to keep the staff there very long. Her room was nice. It was a double room, and you each have your own private bedroom, but you share a bathroom. It was nice sized and clean. I liked the people that were running it at the time. I liked the care staff during the day, but the night shift was not up to par. They let my mother-in-law fall three times. We weren't happy with the night staff. There was always something going on in their activity room and it was open, and that would encourage them just to come on in and sit down and do it. I liked the way they did that. They had three meals a day, and the price was about the same as everybody else in town.

Buyer beware!!! The facility is beautiful inside and out; except for the staff within. If you don't mind your love one locked up and the key thrown away this is the place for them. During this pandemic that is exactly what they did to the memory care residents. I was there one time at my mother's window when she decided to walk to her door and look out and I could hear the staff down the hall yelling at her to get back in her room. The staff has no family oversight so now they do what they want to your loved ones and get away with it. Dr. Parmesetty has plenty of money to sponsor Alabama Athletic TV programs, but can't afford for the residents to have toilet paper or laundry soap (you buy that yourself on top of the$4500 plus you pay each month). I am just warning you this is not the facility to go to for memory care, you will regret it like my family does.

Crimson Village is a nice place. All the people are nice there, too. They have lots of activities, lots of good food on the menu and the rooms are very nice. It had a friendly atmosphere, with lots of outings. The staff is great. I have checked around, and it's the best value for the money.

Crimson Village is assisted living and is a very nice place. But for the money, it's very overpriced, and the rooms are small. The staff member I was in contact with was very nice. A studio there costs more than a room in my current community. The food looked nice, and the place was very clean.

The facility is top of the line and the staff is so caring. It doesn't fell like a senior residence, it simply feels like a well appointed home with lots of things to do and options for my mom. Love it.

Crimson Village was very friendly and it's a very nice place when you walk in. I just didn't like their Alzheimer's unit. The staff was very friendly and nice. The place was very clean, but there was no order, and the rooms were very nice. I didn't care for the dining area and it just didn't appeal to me.

The facilities at Crimson Village were too small for my needs. I would suggest you need to visit and see the facilities and see the amount of room that’s available and how much it costs because it varies. The ones that I thought I could afford were way too small.

I chose Crimson Village for my mother. I am just really happy, and so is my mother. The staff is excellent. My mom's room is beautiful. It's a studio apartment with a bedroom and sitting area. It's nice. The facility has three stories and is almost like a high-end hotel.

The staff at Crimson Village was very caring, very attentive, and kind. The facility was brand new, so it looked really nice. My husband was only there for a few months. They had an excellent chef, so the food was fabulous. They could be more attentive to the residents in getting enough water and keeping them hydrated. That was a particular issue with my husband.

Crimson Village was new, and the staff was great; they were so helpful. They take trips and play games, watch the football games, go to the theater, have church, and so many other things. I think since they were so new, I kind of wish that some of the rough edges were knocked off and that they were more settled in, especially the administrative staff.
