What an amazing place. Having visited and had relatives in different nursing home facilities over the years all over the country I have had a very good overview of the care offered to our elderly. And I can say with great enthusiasm that the care offered by the Little Sisters of the Poor is the best I've ever witnessed. This includes the best, very costly commercially run facilities in our area. I brought a friend over from what was supposedly one of the best homes and she was just stunned at the cleanliness, friendliness and not to mention the delicious food served by caring staff and volunteers. And I have personally seen this care given regardless of color, sex or religion. What an amazing place.

When my elderly father was diagnosed with dementia and my mother could no longer care for him by herself, they were both accepted into the Little Sisters of the Poor. What a blessing! They took such very good care of my father and were standing near his bed praying for him as he took his last breath. My mother continues to live there and absolutely loves it. The nuns and the nursing staff have all been so amazing. I've visited numerous times and the facility has always been absolutely spotless. My mother raves about the food selections, although she is not picky at all and will eat anything. They always have activities planned for the residents and various holiday parties. For the more mobile residents, they have little day trips. I agree with the other reviewer, the rooms are very home-like with decorations and picture frames, etc. They have a library for those who enjoy reading. Anyway, I highly recommend this facility to anyone. It has been an absolute blessing to our family. Frankly, we couldn't have down it without their assistance. Thank you Little Sisters of the Poor! You are the best!

I have been to several nursing homes and I have seen the conditions that they are in. I do believe that Little Sisters of the poor are the best run nursing home that I have ever seen. Most nursing homes that I have been to, honestly have a smell that greets you at the door. But Little Sisters of the Poor always seem to have every aspect of their facility so nice and clean. Its not just about the cleanliness, it's also about the way they treat their residents. All of the residents have a piece of home inside of their rooms. Each room you step into feels like it's has its own story. The CNAs take their time and sit down to visit with the patients and talk to them. The Little Sisters of the Poor nursing home also keep all residents active so most of the residents have movement.
