"I toured Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center And Home. They have enough staff to take care of their residents. The building was very old and dated, but they kept it up very nicely. The tour was great, and the care looked to be pretty good. The staff who assisted me was good. She's been there for over 20 years. She cares about what she does, and it shows."

"Happy Days is located in the downtown area where everything is only like three blocks from city hall and Lincoln Park is right across. The citizens have a chance to get out and get some air in the park where the security can see them. If there are some functions going on in the summer time, they'll be able to enjoy in the park. If they don't have anyone to come and take them out, it's right across the street. There are ramps for patients who are not able to walk to the first stop light from the building. It's very convenient if you have a problem with getting around. The only thing is that Broad Street is a wide business street. It's a very nice building and it's high rise, maybe about 10 stories. They have nice facilities for the patients. They have a day care room. The living quarters and the hallway are very clean. It has good security in and out. The staff is very professional. They have activities for the residents and they also have a nurse on premises. If you have a medical problem, you're going to have to ring the bell and someone will be there waiting for you. Everything you need is right there. It's not a facility where they serve you. A lot of residents are able to cook their own food. My friend who lived there cooked. "

"My father has been to Eger. He had to be in this rehab center because he has VNS (vagus nerve stimulation). But everything is okay now. They provide a safe and caring environment for all the patients and that's all that matters. It was a home-like environment and they do have different programs for each patients with different needs. It's a good place. "

"We're using SAGE Eldercare. We have an aide come in, and we really like her. She's really nice and got Mom crocheting again, and that's working really well. They have a lot of caregiver programs and programs for the seniors. The caregiver is very professional, and Mom looks forward to having her. She's very good with Mom. "

"I love this place! Everyone looks happy here. The best service, great activities and nice food. Polite attitude from staff and very friendly atmosphere. What else do you need? I forgot to mention nice transportation from home and back to home. Also they provide buses for shopping and in summer time to NJ shore. You come here and spend several hours, as in your best dream, with friends and relatives. I am very glad to be here and very grateful for everything!"

"My dad has been staying in AristaCare at Norwood Terrace for months. The personnel there are all qualified. They're all skilled and very good when they have time, but they're understaffed and my dad could wait over an hour to get help when he needed to go to the bathroom (and that's true for all the people staying there). Instead of waiting for help, people who shouldn't be moving on their own will get desperate and get out of bed and risk a fall. In fact, during the months that my dad was there, he fell at least two times because nobody came to help him and he had to help himself. If I could give them negative stars for treatment, I would. It's been horrible. He lost about 25% of his body weight. The kitchen is terrible. They don't even get the meals right. We order things on the menu and he gets different things. This is not just the fault of these individual nursing home rehab centers. This is the way the system is working right now."

"Transportation is really bad, the males do their jobs, but not the females, they don't like to get off the bus and constantly using their Mobil/ phones. No point complaining as they will say to you "we never had a complaint about such person" of course most of the clients are either too sick or too old, how can you expect them to complain, those that still one whole piece will never be treated that way. Also I called twice/ in different occasions of course, to the person who enrolled my mom/as it was kind of late, when we went there and she did not return my phone call not even a day after I called her. my mom left there last week and still my phone call was never returned. "

"I like Belleville Senior Health Services. They feed us, we do exercises, and we go shopping if we need to. The staff is very nice and everyone is welcome. They've got doctors on staff. I go there in the morning every day. If I had family and friends out here, I would recommend them. The people are very fine."

"The Sephardic Home is located in Brooklyn, NY not to far from Coney Island. The Sephardic Home is a wonderful place that upholds the Jewish traditions that many elderly hold so dear. They are an all Jewish facility, with a 100% kosher menu, with dishes that are influenced by the Mediterranean culture. The administration at the facility have all been a part of the Home for a number of years, and make it very personal for all it's residents. The Rabbi spends a great deal of time with the residents, educating them as well as leading a number of holiday and religious events, making you feel right at home. The facility is clean and welcoming, with a nice yard in the rear of the facility. The resident rooms are clean and renovated as needed. The residents can participate in daily activities with a phenomenal Recreation Department, go to the beauty salon, or just relax in many of the community gathering areas. I recommend The Sephardic Home to anyone looking for a home! "

"I couldn’t express my gratitude to this facility. This facility has made my father’s remaining days comfortable and happy. My father suffered from stage 4 cancer and the family decided that it’s best for him to stay at a hospice to live out the remaining days of his life in comfort. The facility did not only do a great job in managing my father’s pain but also provided him with emotional support. The medical specialists even included us when it came to his supportive care. Three months after he was admitted here, he died in his sleep. The facility has given us a lot of help especially when it comes to accepting the situation. And this personal approach is something that you don’t often find in other care facilities. "
