My husband is in King David Center For Nursing And Rehabilitation, and he will be there for a while. He is getting very good care there. They have a state-of-the-art workout room. It's huge and it's beautiful, but because of the Covid situation right now, they're really not allowed to take patients down there. It is what it is, and anything negative is because of the Covid situation. The food is good. My husband got a very picky palate, but he hasn't complained about the food. It's kosher. When he went there, I couldn't see the room, I couldn't smell the food, I couldn't see the other patients, but I spoke with the director face to face. They have a Chinese population there, so they have a Chinese menu. I have been told that they also have a Russian population, so they have a menu that caters to the Russians' likes and dislikes. The family liaison is very attentive, and she returns phone calls. She sets up the face-to-face visits through the glass partition down in the lobby, which has been suspended now because they have a couple of positive cases. There's another woman that sets up Facetime twice a week. She goes to each patient and sets up their tablets, so that they can participate in Facetime. I haven't had that much contact with the social worker except from the beginning, and she was very attentive. The administrator there is very attentive, too. She also returns the phone calls. The people in the main desk know me by name and they also know my husband. Everybody seems to be very, very nice. My husband does once in a while have difficulty getting somebody to come when he presses his call button, but that's going to be at any place. They're overworked and underpaid, but they're very kind. I'm very pleased with what we've encountered so far. I've seen the gym from the other side of the glass wall and that's magnificent. The lobby is also nice.

1. They wisked my brother away without letting me go to his room upon admission. 2. Kelly Ann was very nasty to me and told me to leave. 3. My brother was in horrific pain, screaming and they did not provide him with adequate pain meds. TOOK THEIR SWEET TIME TO EVALUATE HIM...because they knew he was very sick. 4. On Saturday when I went to visit him a very nasty security guard would not let me up to visit. 5. The next day my brother passed away. I still do not know the cause of death. He was only there 1 week. 6. HORRIBLE PLACE

Alzheimers and dementia sufferers stay far away from this place. My father was left in bed with fever, severe dehydration, and cellulitis. I had to demand medical care via video call. Won't provide proof of covid vaccinations. They should be investigated for vaccine fraud and mistreatment.

My mother was in King David Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and it was awful. It was praised by the hospital because they're the only one who could take an NG tube. They're not very careful with their COVID protocols, they don't check their staff members regularly. They called us by phone to let us know about the person who was positive, but they didn't tell us what floor he was working on, so I didn't know if my mom was exposed. And it turned out that she was exposed, so she was COVID-positive and in quarantine, and they were very kind with her while she was going through it. They've stopped giving her rehab because they said she had plateaued, but according to her new facility they have a ways to go with her, she has not plateaued in her rehab. The staff was nice, but not as nice and caring as the people in her new community. We were not getting what we paid for.

Just to help the next person and I had to give it one star. Please keep away they are unprofessional and don't care for the patients. Most of the time the staff is miserable and not compassionate. I feel they should treat the patients like they are one of their family. I know someone who had a major stroke and if their family was not there I would have found her as a vegetable or dead. The nurse came in the room and they told her she's okay while her face was droopped and unable to focus or speak. She wanted them to ca 911 and they told her it's too much paperwork and to call yourself. I was appalled by these services. This is just one of many. I hope this discourages anyone to send there love ones there.

The visit at Sephardic Nursing was a little discouraging because I went to see someone, and the nurse said I only had an hour. We waited for about 20 minutes, and they didn’t come down. The food I would say is mediocre. They have a game room that’s nice, and the room is very tiny.

It was a few years ago when my grandmother needed some treatment that could not be done at home and we found Sephardic Nursing home. Since it was close to home and looked nice, my grandmother agreed to try it out. She loved it. Upon entering the home, it had a hotel feel rather then a facility feeling to it. It was nice. Although the rooms were not that extravagant, they were still clean and gave my grandmother everything she need for her stay. After she was settled, we got to meet the staff. They were so nice to talk to and so understanding that we knew my grandmother was in safe hands. We left her and came back every day to check on her. She was so happy. The nurses were nice and they even had an activity almost every day from Jewelry making to Bingo they had it all. For the few weeks she was there, she was treated like a queen. It was so nice to see her smiling.

My dad has been in Sephardic home for about 3 years now. It is mostly a good place for him to be. It is clean and bright and is well maintained. They have a good maintenance staff if anything seems to be wrong. They have a beautiful lobby with a professional receptionist and excellent security. There is plenty of seating in the lobby with a tv and the elevators run pretty well. My dads room is clean and is right outside the nurses station, which is very important to us being that he has a trach collar to assist with his breathing. The nursing staff is very nice . They have one main nurse for the floor and several nursing assistants to help with the care of the patient. They are all warm and friendly when I visit. The home also has a beautiful garden outside that we take my dad to when it is warm outside. My only complaint about Sephardic home is that they don't do any kind of therapy for my dad being that he is minimally conscious and he therefor has one bedsore. They are also not as gentle with him as we would like them to be, sometimes we see some cuts on his face from the razor. All in all they are caring and always look out for his best interest medically..which is the most important thing

The Sephardic Home is located in Brooklyn, NY not to far from Coney Island. The Sephardic Home is a wonderful place that upholds the Jewish traditions that many elderly hold so dear. They are an all Jewish facility, with a 100% kosher menu, with dishes that are influenced by the Mediterranean culture. The administration at the facility have all been a part of the Home for a number of years, and make it very personal for all it's residents. The Rabbi spends a great deal of time with the residents, educating them as well as leading a number of holiday and religious events, making you feel right at home. The facility is clean and welcoming, with a nice yard in the rear of the facility. The resident rooms are clean and renovated as needed. The residents can participate in daily activities with a phenomenal Recreation Department, go to the beauty salon, or just relax in many of the community gathering areas. I recommend The Sephardic Home to anyone looking for a home!
