I am with hospice, and they require that I have round-the-clock care. The caregivers are helpful for me. I have two round-the-clock caregivers, and I like them.

In the beginning, there was a young caregiver that wasn't consistent, but now they've been very consistent. They always show up and the caregivers know what they are doing. They do everything that they say they will do, they have a good system, and the caregivers that come are really good.

They seemed to help out, and we had several different people who were coming out. She received excellent care from them, and I had no problem with their staff. One lady in particular just bonded with both of us, and it was like she was part of the family. The care that my wife received while under the care of Care Advantage was excellent service and care. I would recommend them highly.

My mom wouldn't cooperate, and I wish they would have had some solutions. I liked the girl that we had. She seemed to be comfortable and to know what she doing.

I just felt that they had a lack of interest in doing work. They did not talk to him and do much with nursing. They just did not seem to have a lot to do for my loved one, but even with that, they were not doing anything. I had to help with my relative.

We also have the ability to send a different caregiver with our large network available to us. They are decent. They do a good job. What they do is give my wife some slack at times, and they give her a chance to get out of the house. They could communicate better. Sometimes I do not get aides on time or at all, so I would like to get advanced notice about aides not being here.

They help me all the way around because I am paralyzed on the right side. They do all the general things that I can't do on my own. I am having trouble getting them here on the days that they are supposed to be here.

They need to send CNAs that do all the work on the list that they gave us. The corporate office needs to focus on the instructions that their clients talk to them about. They need to send out CNAs who know how to manage disabled clients who can't walk.

I can't get ready for the day without them. It has a major impact. The aides that I have are incredible. They're not afraid of my condition. They help me and take care of me. This goes for substitutes and my normal aide.

It was helpful to have a caregiver come in once a week to check up on my aunt. She enjoyed the services, and she felt that everyone was very nice to her. They did what was asked of them. One of the caregivers was outstanding, but another one fell asleep at night, so my aunt had to get up on her own.

Most of the girls assigned are excellent, they have added to my life. They could bring supplies they need for the job, sometimes they don't have the supplies. I would like the people that come to go by the rules established.

I would have like better communication and more consistency in the caregivers. A lot of the caregivers didn't even drive, and that was one thing that I need. I had a hard time getting them to get me one or two caregivers during the week, rather than a new caregiver everyday.

The physical therapy is helping me get stronger. They're helping my wound get better. They need to let me know when they're coming before the morning they're coming. It's ridiculous because I have doctor appointments and other things that are arranged ahead of time.

They come, and they give me a break. I get so used to them being around that they become like a family member. I like their effort and their time. I like how they learn to get the patient to cooperate because they can be very stubborn. They have a certain kind of talent to deal with people.

I think that if the scheduler had called me back, that would have been good. Care Advantage had somebody doing the scheduling and the first two visits were with a wonderful caregiver. She had the opportunity to go and get more hours, so she wasn't available, so the scheduler called me letting me know that she would wait for the PT schedule, and she did not do that. She arranged two odd visits that conflicted with my schedule.

She gets me out of the house because I cannot drive. I have not driven for 10 years. I have autonomic system disorder. I will pass out when i'm sitting, standing, or walking. My caregiver gets my medicines for me. She takes me to get my hair done. She has given me my life back. I used to work for them back in the 80's. They are very good with patients and their families. They try to match the nurses with the patients so it will work out.

I am afraid now to have someone like her. I am in fear that if I fall asleep when my sugar or blood pressure is high, they won't do anything. They need better with communication and provide better care for me. The aide just watched me almost go into a diabetic coma.

The nurse we had was good. I just needed someone on the weekend. I would like them to have more staff to come in. They didn't have anybody on the weekends.

They should spend some more time listening to my parents and talking with them. They should be compassionate. The gentleman sales guy was great and came on short notice. We requested to have 24 hour care and to have the best person during the day. The people we have a night are outstanding, but our day person does not have a good attitude. They did not find the best person for the day. Instead, they texted out to find the most available person. A person had to cancel due to a death in the family and we had to find a replacement. Most of the people they send us are qualified.

They are very helpful with what I need, and they helped me relocate my belongings from upstairs to downstairs. They set my mother up downstairs, and they have been remarkable. They are polite, and they are respectful of your home and your belongings. They are good at their job, very respectful, very courteous, and very gracious. They know it's your home and they don't try to come in and just take over, they let you decide.

It's tricky because we had four people that we really liked, but when we had to find someone else, those caregivers did not know what to do. They did not respond to certain issues we had, and sometimes the communication did not exist and they did not replace a caregiver when we needed it.

They need to listen better to directions. I have to get on the caregivers about washing their hands.

I'm sure they have wonderful people that work for them, but I'm very particular. They were supposed to send me a woman that is out sick right now and I can't wait for her to start. The first caregiver I'm not happy with and the second one I'm starting to not be happy with either. The nurse that I speak to is wonderful and I love her.

During the day we have a caregiver that comes in and does well. We have someone at night that does well, too, but we have a problem with filling the gaps. They do good as far as the daily needs. Sometimes they go above and beyond, which is very helpful. The care itself makes life easier. They have made a lot of improvements. One of those improvements is with the scheduling. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and sometimes I just don't get anyone. I feel like they get the back end of the deal.

I liked the caregiver because she got here on time, but she isn't as experienced as she could be. She sat with him while I went out on errands and attended to his needs.

They help you in a way that you need. She helps me when I wash and she's good when I need somebody to help me. She helps when I get up and helps me in the bathroom if I need it.

Even though my wife only lasted 10 days, the people from Care Advantage could not have been more caring or compassionate. I recommend them to people all the time! They were always there for us and anticipated our needs, so I never had to worry about anything.

Outside of the inconsistency, I didn't feel like I was being heard on a customer service level. The lady who I called to get help, made me feel like I was annoying her and being a bother. It wasn't great. I wouldn't use them again.

When I left and came back home, it looked like they took good care of my loved one. They are nice. They just sit there with my loved one and feed him. They change him if needed.

I interviewed this provider

Care advantage has exceeded my expectations on every occasion in both efficiency and professionalism. Following a car accident, my brother needed someone to accompany him to multiple doctor appoints take notes and communicate back to his care facility. Because I live in the Midwest and he is in virginia ACC arrangements were by phone and email. Both the office support staff and the companion were outstanding. I never had to worry about not having a family member accompany him or miss important information. I would highly recommend this mechanicsville VA advantage care to anyone need ring this type of healthcare support.

We have been with Care Advantage for the past 10 months receiving services for my dad 3 times a week for 3 hours a day. A few times I have needed to change the days an aid comes out due to doctor's appointments and Care Advantage has been very willing to work with us. Overall the majority of the aids we have had in my parents home have been great! The aids clean, help shower, prepare lunch, do wash and play games with my dad. Our hours are different than most families - 10 - 1pm. It has been harder for Care Advantage to find aids that will consistently come out but we have achieved that goal & we are thankful.

Our family has had Care Advantage for the last 2.5 years! Our two sweet nurses Dawn and Elayne took great care of our darling Granny. RN Stacey is phenomenal and came once a month to check in. Stacey walked us through and helped us get more care and kept our Granny comfortable until the very end. Our Granny passed two weeks ago and we miss her terribly ,but knowing we were able to keep her home with us and care for her much in part to Care Advantage makes me feel so blessed and thankful we had each and everyday with her in the comfort of our(hers too) home! Thank you is not enough for the care this company has given our family. We are heartbroken to lose our precious Granny as well as to lose her nurses that we considered family.
