They should be able to drive. We have only had two caregivers. Neither have been able to drive. Since they don't drive, she stays home. She can't go to her church things. My mom is very social. She has dementia. I have recommended them before to someone. Their availability of live-in caregivers is not great.

My mom is 83 and can't transfer my dad, so the caregivers do the transfers. There are some good overnight caregivers who let my mom sleep through the night. We have had some overnight weekend caregivers who did not anticipate that they would have to stay awake all night and actually work while they were there. That has been the one gap in our coverage.

The nurses have communicated with me regularly, and they had ideas when there were problems. They are solution-oriented. I would say that you need to make sure you are a clear communicator. You need to communicate with the caregiver regularly.

I need them to make sure she is clean, is dressed, and that she takes her medicine. The continuity helps with her memory. They are very skilled, professional, and kind.

It is difficult having strangers in your house, so having people who are friendly and outgoing makes it easier. Some of the people who took care of me had accents that were difficult to understand. They need people who are clear and easier to understand.

I'm not sure if it's on an administrative perspective. They have been responsive. The people that are on the later shift have seemed like they are tired and that it might be the second job. They need to keep their eyes open and on my father.

They come in so we can get some rest at night. It has been a lifesaver for us. At first we didn't know what to expect, but it has been nothing but positive for us. We have been able to sleep at night and relax knowing that they will be there to help. I like the agency because of the stability that they offer. They have done a marvelous job at giving us caregivers that have stayed with us for a long time, and are reliable and dependable.

She has improved which is unusual at 98. They are there 7 days a week. This change with the continuity of the caregiver with keeping her on task has made the difference. They are all involved. I have the most fantastic caregiver. From the caregiver to the office they are all helpful.
