It's just that I need to get used to it. I like the lady that they sent last and the lady that comes for showers. It bothers me to have a lot of people, but that's okay. I haven't been with them too long. We've had a lot of people coming and going. It's a good program. I have somebody come to help me Monday, Wednesday and Friday to help me shower.

The client can't hold a conversation. He only remembers a certain time period and he randomly makes up stories about whatever is going on around him. It's not bad, it's just repetitive. Having somebody to talk to and having somebody go for walks with him has been a positive impact. I am physically unable to tolerate walking for very long distances and he loves to walk. I am a full-time student in addition to taking care of the client. They work with my schedule. Recently, we moved from my Spring schedule and my Fall schedule was completely different. While I try to schedule my classes to make it easier on them, they're always willing to work with me. That is one of the biggest things right now for us. The caregiver is phenomenal. She is so good with the client. Most of the people we have had out here have really worked with the client's needs. They base the person they send out here on what the client is most comfortable with. With dementia, you don't know what you're going to get every day. They're really good about scheduling.

The consistency was an issue with several times when we would get last minute notifications of someone not coming or get different people every day when they were saying we were supposed to get permanent caregivers. However, when there weren't issues the service was good.

When they do come, most of the ladies that they hire have been wonderful. The caregivers have helped the most by being there for my mother-in-law. They're very understanding so they understand her needs and they meet them. The agency needs to improve their communication. Sometimes nobody comes to see my mother-in-law and nobody tells us so she is not being taken care of.

My mother is still around and she is monitoring them. She is very particular, so sometimes she is upset because they are doing nothing and she doesn't like paying them. Someone is there in the night to watch him and that makes me more comfortable. The price is a little high and they could train their caregivers to be more considerate. One of the ladies turned our thermostat down so that she would be comfortable, but my father was not.

My husband is doing great, the caregiver has helped us because she do as much as she can to help out my husband and keeps him clean. If she cannot help out with something, she reaches out to me and tells me the reason as to why it could not get done. I like it very much because I do not struggle to go to work, the caregiver is here a bit before I leave for work all the time. I can trust for sure that the caregiver will be here and will take care of my husband, and that is what I like.

I asked for 24 hour coverage on the weekend and never once could they cover a full weekend. They never know who is coming and the management is so bad. The workers are good but the management is almost none existence.
