We have Stay at Home Care LLC for my mom. Right now, we have a home aide that comes in and provides some light housework in terms of laundry, shopping for groceries, and some other minor things around the house. It's been very good and they've been very accommodating. We sat down and discussed the frequency of visits, the length of visits, and everything else so they are very good at working with us. We've been using them since November of last year and the billing is very convenient because they bill me electronically. As far as scheduling goes, it's just a quick phone call if we need to modify our schedule. That is all it takes so everything's working well.

As of last week we are no longer with Stay at Home Care. My experience with this agency has not gone well. The respite caregiver they sent us was wonderful, but she had health issues and missed a lot of work...sometimes days, sometimes weeks. I would say at least 1/3 of the days entitled to us were not covered. Only twice did they sent a replacement. Many times I was informed at the last minute no one was coming, sometimes not at all. I missed many appointments and important gatherings because of this. Two weeks ago, a new caregiver was assigned to us, and seemed to be working out. Last week he was a no-call no-show. I called the agency and it went straight to voicemail (which it always does). I did not receive a phone call back from them until 2 days later, apologizing that she simply did not have time to call to tell me he wasn't coming. We had many conversations previous to this, and she knew I was getting fed up with her agency. I informed her I was very unhappy and did not want to use them anymore.

The folks at Stay At Home Care are super! They have taken care of my folks for about two years and this has not been easy at all. My mom struggles with dementia and this has affected her mood; though she seems fine now she has been very trying at times. My dad had a stroke and requires 24 hour care and care coordination and these folks have been spot on. I recommend without reservation!!!!
