Located in the downtown area of Wichita, this busy focal point for the aging network handles everything Seniors. The Meals on Wheels program is housed here. A senior work program is also on site. There is a lending program for used equipment here and a social service advocate. A phone contact program is stationed here for information and referrals to the senior network. There are also plenty of activities and a Congregate meal site. Some transportation is available. You will be known by name at this site. I like that these workers are commited to the seniors in their city. These folks are not pulling in big salaries. They are constrained by city, state and county budgets as to how much they can help out, but they do care and work hard to find ways to meet the needs of the local seniors. Most assistance is free or on a sliding fee scheduled.
