"I contacted thrive after my uncle had fallen and broke his hip 84 years old and in need of care for staying at home. The staff kept a notebook of his daily needs shower breakfast doing his laundry making sure his meals were set up checking his blood sugar and making sure his pills were being taken. They showed up on time he had three different caregivers for six hours Seven days a week for the first month it was most unfortunate that it was expensive and that we just couldn’t have them care for him .the staff kept me informed of who is going to be showing up on which days and if there was any changes they notified me immediately I a greatly appreciate that because I am out of state from where my uncle was so much thanks to them and their staff. Sorry that we couldn’t keep going with your services due to expenses thank you"

"Looking for care for a parent in need can be overwhelming and heartbreaking. The team at Right At Home is made up of caring professionals who provided us support and guidance during this challenging time. From the initial phone conversation, to the in-home evaluation, to the several staff members who have assisted my mother over the past year, to the management team who coordinates, our family has been pleased, relieved, and impressed with the level of professionalism and caring that have been given to all of us. My mother, in particular, feels tremendous gratitude for the help she has been given to attend to her basic needs as well as the company her caregivers provide. Safety, respect, and kindness are obviously core values of this team. We feel so very lucky to have found Right at Home and would recommend them without reservation."

"We have used Home Instead over a period of many years, sometimes just hourly or for longer periods of time. This last time required 24/7 care as my Aunt is 100 yrs. old. It took some doing, but Ivy was able to put together a schedule with three women who had cared for my Aunt before. They showed up on time, gave very good care to my Aunt and basically ran the household. I had good interaction with caregivers and the staff was always there to help with any requests. Highly recommended! AJO'B"

"The team at the Fremont area Home Instead were a great help during a trying time. I needed to find good in-home care for my mother on very short notice. I looked at the various alternatives in our area and chose Home Instead. I am very glad I did. Shannon is an amazing combination of compassion, professionalism, and energy. She came by our home within hours, did a detailed assessment of our situation, and provided us a comforting caregiver by early evening. Shannon was poised, prepared, and empathetic during the assessment and beyond. She has a system in place that appears to cover everything that could affect and maximize the care offered by her team to assure the comfort and care of the person in need. She was open and transparent on pricing and the care to be provided, and she took the time to bring caregivers by the house to introduce them and to bring them up to speed on expectations and requirements. I would recommend her and the Fremont area Home Instead team's compassionate, professional, and responsive service."

"I worked with Shona Mehta at Qualicare in the Bay Area to get part time in home help for my mom who has Alzheimer’s. Shona was so compassionate and easy to talk to. She provided a great caregiver who my mom had zero issues with (which is good because my mom can be difficult). I would use Shona again in a heartbeat and highly recommend. "

At Seniors Helping Seniors, the mission is simple yet powerful: to provide older adults with the ability to live independently in the comfort of their own homes while being treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve. Proudly serving the Tri-Valley and Fremont areas, this family-owned agency offers a wide range of non-medical in-home services designed to meet each individual’s needs. From companion care such as socialization, meal preparation, transportation, and light housekeeping, to personal care like dressing, bathing, ambulating, and memory support, Seniors Helping Seniors provides compassionate assistance tailored to every client. What makes the organization unique is right in the name. Unlike traditional care agencies, Seniors Helping Seniors employs active seniors as caregivers to support their senior counterparts who need a helping hand. This peer-to-peer model fosters trust, relatability, and genuine connection through shared life experiences. For co-owner, Deanna Thach, a registered nurse with years of leadership experience, serving older adults has always been a calling. Aside from working on medical-surgical units and in triaging capacity, Deanna has found fulfillment in volunteering with various senior-related causes, including Alzheimer’s Disease research, nutrition information intake, and hospice. Through these experiences, she brings both professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to the business. Co-owner, Jeffrey Macapinlac, has a wealth of experience in the medical device industry delivering world-class customer experience with a focus on continuous improvement. He’s also excited to exercise his background in creative multimedia (DJ/MC/Photography/Videography) to put others in their best light and positively move the community. The natural passion is also deeply personal. Jeffrey’s mother, after being laid off late in her career, found a meaningful second chapter as a caregiver. That opportunity not only gave her purposeful work but allowed her to retire with dignity and joy—a testament to the power of this model. As parents raising three young children, Jeffrey and Deanna are excited to invest in the community, creating opportunities for both seniors who need care and those seeking flexible, rewarding employment.
