The thing that I like a lot, all of the caregivers, which we have had many, they have been very professional and treated my mom well. They always sent a replacement whenever a caregiver was out. Having the services are very helpful, to have someone come in and help my mom with her bathing and hygiene care. Family Caregiver

We have been disappointed, disheartened and disturbed by the lack of concern Avid's Schaumburg office has demonstrated in hiring, training and supervising caregivers for my husband, a stroke survivor. Turnover at the agency is extraordinarily high, and many of Avid's home care aides have little, if any experience in the field. Callouts for shifts are often the norm, and many caregivers see no reason to arrive on time for daily assignments. We've had home care workers arrive in dirty or torn clothing. An aspiring health care professional fell asleep twice at our home while working a short, mid-morning shift. She drove my husband to a physical therapy appointment in a car with a shattered windshield, an expired state license plate while the check engine light was running. The office staff at Avid's Schaumburg office is difficult to reach and refuses to respond to client concerns.
