I was very specific about the days and hours needed and they assured me they had caregivers available. Scheduled an interview with a caregiver, Barbara. The days and hours worked for her until she left the interview. Then apparently "we had a small problem". She wanted 4 days and 6 hours a day at $25.00/hour based on what she "saw"???? I asked what she saw, apparently the house was a mess??? It's a condo and I know it wasn't a "mess". Sorry Barbara and Eva's, there are other agencies out there.

GOOD SERVICE caregiver are nice and friendly! cooking , housekeeping , phisical assistenc all personal care, companionship, bathroom asst. is to my satisfaction. Staff is very friendly and accommodating big + is they provide a background check for all caregivers before the interview. Prices are ok .

At first this agency was FANTASTIC. Needed a fill in caregiver for the week and called agency and was told I would get a call back that same day but never received call until three days later. Caregiver got to comfortable to quick and Was not doing what family requested. There were many problems but the final incident was not providing adequate assistance when transferring the patient from the wheelchair to the toilet( causing the patient to fall twice in the same week.

The caregiver that we had is the third caregiver from Eva’s Home Care, but she has been there the longest. Most of them are Polish, and my mother sometimes has a hard time understanding. It is frustrating as my mother doesn’t hear well; it’s like the TV is so loud, and they’re talking loud. She works 24/7, and my mother would like her to be off every weekend and have someone else because she feels that she has to get up in the night and not have good sleep, but the company refused. They’ve told me that they don’t work that way, that she works for 12 days and then she has 3 days off because the caregiver comes far away. The caregiver is from the city, and we’re in a suburb. There is another caregiver, and she lives 5 miles away, but she is like a private. Both previous caregivers and this caregiver to me were very good caregivers. The fact is that I don’t know that’s reasonable to have them on the contract that they can’t have every weekend off. This lady that is with my mother had been with a person prior to my mother for seven years until she passed away, so she is a good carer. It’s inconvenient to have a caregiver so far from me. To have a caregiver from the area -- 10 mile radius from where you are -- is important to me as I worry to them travelling the distance they do. But the pricing is you do get what you pay for.
