We are now using Preferred Care at Home of Land O' Lakes. The administrative part is very good. They're very caring and want to be as helpful as possible. My parents are very difficult and not social. The only negative thing I can say is, when one of the workers had finished her duties (like taking my mother to the doctor's visit, then by the grocery store and by the pharmacy) she still had like half an hour on the clock, so she sat there and visited with my parents. While most people like to have company and for someone to sit and visit with them, my parents did not like that. They said they didn't need anybody to sit and visit with them and they didn't want to pay somebody to sit and visit with them. That's the only negative I could say, but then again, my parents aren't the norm. They are very difficult people to deal with. Overall, I think it's a great program and very helpful, especially to the children of parents that want to still be independent, but yet can't be. My parents are in between caregivers. They haven't had anybody because they just moved from their home into a rental. When they got it established on exactly what services they needed, they were happy with the last caregiver that they were using. The very first person was the only time they had an issue with. I know it is not feasible for them to get somebody just to go out for like two hours, unfortunately. A lot of people are still pretty dependent, all they need is rides and assistance into and out of doctor's appointments or whatever. My parents don't want them for four hours. However, I understand the administrative part because a lot of people don't want to just go in for a couple of hours. They want enough to make it sustainable and worth their while.

This provider is professional, caring and gives excellent care. They have a variety of services and offer compassionate attentive flexible care. I have the distinct impression that the patient comes first for them. I was provided with excellent post op care after significant spinal surgery. Caregivers were knowledgeable about my needs and took good care of me.

We're using Preferred Care at Home of Land O' Lakes for my mother-in-law. They're very good and very caring, and their response time to my needs is very quick. They're assisting with medications, exercises, and household cleaning. The caregivers are very good, work very hard, and get along with her. Their prices are good, and the scheduling is very good.

I have been using Preferred Care at Home about 7 months ago to provide assistance for my elderly mother who has dementia-and for peace of mind for me while I’m working. The owner cares a great deal about matching the right caregiver with the client, which is not something I experienced with other agencies I interviewed. Her employees are well trained and compassionate people. The owner also has a ton of knowledge and tips to share about elderly care and handling dementia for the families and is a registered nurse herself. We now have an awesome caregiver for my mother (who was very resistant to needing help) and I have peace of mind which enables me to be productive at work and enjoy my family at home!

I Hired Preferred Care to assist me with my mom while I was at work. We needed quite a bit of help. The owner Genesis was really easy to talk to and very straight forward about my moms care. Services were affordable. The HHAs that were assigned were knowledgable, caring, and respected all of our wishes. Would highly recommend.
