Constellation Private Duty has offered private duty stuff for my mom. My problem is that every time I hire one caregiver, they tell me that they can do the hoyer lift and make the meals. But then they send people who are not comfortable using the hoyer lift and don't really do even the light duty house cleaning. They just kind of sit there and look at my mom all day, and they don't get her up out of bed, and she had a bed sore. They just sit in the room and don't interact with my mom so that doesn't help me at all. We've had them for several months. The caregivers were fine, I just don't think they're being truthful at the agency when they're hired, regarding things like knowing how to use the hoyer lift. It's just the level of skills differ from person to person.
