Family Tree In-Home Care-Denver, CO monitored Dad's daily living, provided help with dressing, and made sure that he took his medications in the morning and at night. We got them for the extra service of making sure my dad was eating (because he was losing weight). They would take him down in the morning (he's wheelchair-bound) and if he wasn't feeling well or didn't feel like going down, they would bring him his food up. They would do that three times a day. They're a little expensive. It's like $725 every two weeks ($15 for 15 minutes), but they have an hourly rate and they let you divide that hour up throughout the day. We did 30 minutes in the mornings, 15 minutes in the afternoon, and then another 15 minutes in the evenings. They also did some light housekeeping. Like all the agencies, they had a high turnover. My dad had one caregiver from Monday through Thursday, and she came in in the mornings through the afternoon. Then he had a separate caregiver that worked Monday to Friday, and a whole different staff on the weekends. From the times that I was there, there were only two people that were the same. Elita was the one who has been with Dad the whole time. She worked Monday to Thursday. They worked with you on what you need.
