My grandmother recently passed away and was on Silverado Hospice care. Our entire experience with Silverado has been nothing short of wonderful! After meeting with our first point of contact, Lindsay, the choice was easy and from that point forward, not once did they disappoint. Lindsay made us feel so comfortable in her caring way as she thoughtfully and carefully outlined all of the services that Silverado provides. She even helped us select the perfect care facility for my grandmother, The Gardens in Carlsbad, after we had a horrific experience at Merrill Gardens in Oceanside. The Silverado nurses (Allie, Marcel, and Tim) visited my grandmother frequently and always called to give our family updates on her health status. Their interactions with her were kind, sweet, and gentle. Our social worker, Selena, was very relatable and spent an unrestricted amount of time asking us questions, answering ours, listening attentively, and offering sound advice when needed. She also did activities with my grandmother and helped to make her as comfortable as possible. Chaplains Ron and Evan also visited with her, read to her and brought some brightness to her life. When she took a turn for the worse one of the doctor's came to assess her very late at night. Even the person that answers the main line is polite, cheerful, and relays information quickly. We are so incredibly thankful to Silverado Hospice for the great care they took with my grandmother and our entire family. I would recommend Silverado time and time again!

Staff do the minimum and they have not honored care plan as required and agreed upon. Hopice very disappointing and not based on best practice in this field. Seem to want to do what is easy for them instead of best for the patient. Would not recommend.

Do not sign up with Silverado Hospice San Diego. I regret placing my mom with them. Its all about the money and not providing quality care to your love one. This place has been a nightmare due to the nurses being over loaded with patients. In addition theres a nurse by the name of Erika L who is very aggressive and demonstrates unprofessional behavior. Take your love else where.

We had Silverado Hospice for my mom for six to seven weeks. I can’t recommend them highly enough. They were wonderful. The caregivers were great, friendly, outgoing, caring, and compassionate. They came to the hospital when my mother was being discharged after a heart stroke. There weren't any issues at all. Everything went nice and smooth, and everyone was wonderful. The billing was all done through Medicare.
Provider Response

As always, our associates are fully dedicated to providing the best care and support to our patients and family members through this difficult time. Sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

I did use Silverado Hospice for my husband. I was very pleased with their service. They were very compassionate, very caring and very steadfast right to the end. They also kept increasing the amount of services based upon my husband's current condition at that time. I really appreciate that. I didn't have to beg them, they just did it.
