We have had a one-year relationship with Absolute Home Health for my now 94 year old mother-in-law that has been excellent in every respect. A highly independent, meticulous, bright, career woman with very high standards for herself and others, she has seen her universe shrink bit by bit over the past year. From refusing help of any kind, she now relies on full-time care and supervision. This has been extremely difficult for her to accept and heartbreaking for us to observe. Having previously engaged an agency for my own parents that often fell short of expectations, I did not anticipate the positive experience we have had with SelectCare. The agency is comprised of a truly professional, experienced, insightful, and caring staff from the director to the wonderful nurses, clerical staff, and caregivers. Absolute Home Health helped us find a visiting medical practice that we have also been very happy with and, importantly, understands how to negotiate the long-term care insurance process. When it was time to recommend other interventions (including hospice), the nursing director was forthright and compassionate. All communication was handled in a timely fashion, and we never had to worry about coverage when a regular caregiver needed a day off. In sum, Absolute Home Health is a "boutique" agency that met all our needs and desires, and we are able to recommend it enthusiastically and without hesitation.
