Sheboygan Senior Community is a brand new facility. They built a new facility and moved everything there. Because it’s only a few months old, it was gorgeous. All the amenities were there. The eating facilities looked more like a restaurant than a cafeteria which was nice for the residents. They had everything. They even have an aviary where there are birds; a bunch of courtyards, extra TVs, community rooms where people could get together, play cards, talk or do whatever they want to do. We didn’t have an appointment and it was late at night but the people that we talked to were wonderful. The nurse on duty was more than accommodating. She took myself and my son through the whole building and showed us the rehab room. They had a lot of relevant things in there had she been able to go there. They actually have a car in the building to practice getting in and out of when somebody has a problem. Everybody has their own room, bedroom, and a living room. They have little kitchenette-type areas where they are allowed to have their own refrigerator and microwave. I was impressed with it.
