We toured LakeHouse New Holstein. The assisted living had two bedrooms and a bathroom. Those are good sizes. The dining area seemed to have enough space that if you were slightly handicapped or had a wheelchair, you could still get into those areas without too much of a problem. However, it didn't have a garage. People were passing by, they were going to the church, and the staff recognized them by name, so that's important for me to know that she knew the people who were living there. Also, she was very good to us. She showed us several different places, one way or another.

My husband moved into LakeHouse New Holstein. They help him with medication distribution and his meals. We had to have somebody from outside come in for therapy, which I was not aware of. His room is OK, but it is small, and that's not what I thought we were getting. They have the dining room, they have a room where they do exercises, and then they have little mini-gathering rooms throughout the building. The staff is good. I wouldn't say above and beyond, but good. I have not tried the food myself, but my husband is very picky and he said everything is delicious. My husband does his exercise programs and he has done bingo. I would say they need to improve their communication with me because I am working full time and I ask questions but I don't always get replies back. So then I had to go there and the billing was all messed up. Communication is kind of not great.

A relative stayed here and really liked it. The staff was very good to him. A friend lives there now and I visit often. It's an attractive facility with appealing amenities. The fireplace is especially welcoming on cold days.

I had been here, and it was a beautiful facility. It was very nice. The people that I know who were there had little suites with a little kitchen. If you want to cook on your own, you could. It was clean, the people were friendly, they had a lot of activities, and I think they had their own van that would take residents to appointments or shopping.
