"My grandma recently passed away while being a resident of Oakridge Gardens Nursing Facility. She was only there for a short amount of time. In that time she was very weak and declining in health rapidly. The staff there was top notch. They were very helpful, and would take time out to answer any questions you had. They communicated very well her status and daily activities when no one (family) was there. They were very helpful with her and anything she needed. Being given meds, helping her eat, or just helping her get around or reposition her self in bed. The building was very clean, warm and welcoming with a nice lounge area. I also thought it was nice that the staff would offer visitors food items that were left over from time to time. Which was very good. All in all the few short months my grandmother was a resident at Oakridge Gardens was a very pleasant few months. I am sure my grandmother passed away happy and comfy. Never once did she complain about any of the staff, and let me tell you this, if she had any negative thoughts about them she would have voiced it! "

"Good therapists, some wonderful nursing staff. However, when I repeatedly encountered very serious problems with a few nurses/aides, management targeted me instead of the problematic staff. "

"The Heritage and Peabody Manor Community provides more care than where my mom was living before, and it is not as expensive. She is in the community-based residential facility part, but they also have a skilled nursing facility adjacent to it. So, if she gets to the point where she needs that additional care, she can be moved to that location. We're very lucky that my sister found out about this place because they had two openings and they had not had an opening for quite some time. The other thing was my mother was transferred directly from the hospital to this facility and it worked out well. They have a higher ratio of CNAs to residents and they have an RN available 24/7. She's also receiving physical therapy. They're going to try to give her speech therapy as well. I would highly recommend this place. The other good thing about it is they have their own bus to transport residents to medical appointments. I sat with my mom for several meals while she ate and the variety of food that they offered and the quality of it were good. People have designated seats in the dining room, so it's a very nice atmosphere. It is well-appointed. It's got two windows on two sides and they have woods around the campus. It's got a nice restful view. All of the different facilities in it were clean. Both my sister and I were impressed. On Fridays, they have members of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra come and perform. My mom has gone to that activity, but they have all kinds of other activities. I feel that it's a good value for the money, especially considering the amount of attention and care that my mom gets, which are very important."

"I am a resident at the center. This is a wonderful place. I have been at other senior living complexes, Manor Care Appleton is by far the best. The staff take great care of me. Everyone is wonderful. "

"My dad was at Bethel for hospice care. The staff were proactive, attentive, and caring. My dad's room was nice and was connected our own private family lounge area. We were given a cart with snacks and refreshments. As my dad was actively dying, we were allowed multiple visitors during the pandemic. My 13 year old was also able to be in the room. The wonderful people and the amenities made our sad situation as good as it possibly could have been. "

"My mother has been moved into a nursing home at Evergreen. What I really liked about it is the staff. They have been just wonderful. I can't go in, and I can only see my mom through the window. She's in isolation right now, so I have not been in her room or anything. The outside is lovely; I just haven't been on the inside. Everything is covered in snow, though. She has only been there a week, but they have contacted me every day multiple times, the multiple people who work with her. Since I can't see her during COVID, they are in contact with me all the time and let me know what's going on, so I really appreciate that. They have just been great. She's in the isolation wing, as everyone who comes there has to be isolated for two weeks. I don't know anything about what they have there."

"My dad was at Manitowoc Care and Rehab Center. It seemed like everything was OK. Everybody was nice to me. The place was very pretty with bright colors. They made it seem like a very happy place. They had a general store and old-time shops that were all colorful. Their rooms were decorated nicely. I think they did a really good job there. They had activities there, like bingo."

"My mother-in-law is temporarily staying at Atrium, and I think it's very good there. The staff is great, wonderful, and caring. It's also closer to our house. She doesn't need as much care as what she's given there, but I wish she could stay there."

"The Bridges is really progressing in working with dementia. My mother has a severe form of dementia. They work with skilled staff to try to work with that group of people without confining them too much. It is in a nice area of town which is convenient for my dad. As far as the facility, you are allowed to put in any kind of furnishings for your parents. Otherwise, they can provide necessary things if you don't have anything or if you can't afford to put something else there. It is accommodating either way because you can go all out to put in anything you would like including pictures. The food is excellent. My mom used to have a lot of trouble with her stomach, but now she is really good with their three meals a day. They are always making snacks and baking. They have treat times and fruit times, and it is all different, so I never worry about the nutrition part. They are very open with suggestions to work with the people. They are trying to be very progressive and pro-advocates for people with dementia. As for the people I know personally in their caregiving, they really care, and they are very close to my mother. "

"All About Life seemed like a dark facility and the employees didn't seemed very friendly and turned their back when we approach them. The rooms were a little smaller than where my mom was in now. "

"My husband moved into Harbor Haven Health & Rehabilitation. They are caring. They did all the moving. Everybody has done what I've asked, so I can't complain. I helped my husband eat today, and it looked good. Their dessert was very good. They have daily activities."

"A big part of our choice to have my dad in Rennes Health and Rehab Center was the location. The other part was familiarity with it and reviews from others about their care. He's there for rehab at the moment. They're very professional, and the care has been great. It's a clean and friendly environment. They've been quick to respond to any questions I've had. They've been great about keeping me informed about changes. He's been there a month now. The food could be better. He's not completely unhappy about it but he has a high standard for food and would like it to be a little better. They do have activities, but he's not really participated just by choice. There's been music and other activities that they have tried to get him to participate in. They have a really nice outdoor space. They have a salon on-site. Therapy has been great, and the facility itself is beautiful. It's a nice environment to be in when you're visiting. It's a little pricey, but I think we see that in the quality of care that he's getting. I'm happy with it."

"My friend went from the hospital to Edenbrook Fond du Lac and passed 10 days later. He's in the memory care unit. It's excellent care for the family and the patient. The staff was excellent, caring, and compassionate. The rooms were clean. It's an older facility, so not super modern, but clean."

"St Francis is the best nursing home in Fond du Lac! We toured many area nursing homes before deciding on St Francis, which was our first and only choice for our elderly mother. She was a resident of St Francis Home for 6 weeks in the medical rehab unit (following a serious hospitalization) and again later for 18 months, before passing on. The care she received at St Francis was outstanding! Communications to family from staff (supervisors and care givers) were continual throughout her stay, and they were readily available for questions. The grounds and buildings are beautiful and well maintained, always clean & well kept. Meals were nutritious and offered a wide variety. There are many activities available daily, games and many things to be involved in. The chapel offers church services for those wanting to attend, and there are frequent planned outings, movie nights, and also musical entertainment & performances on site. As St Francis is linked via a hallway to St Agnes Hospital and Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, it was especially easy to take her to doctor appointments without going out into bad weather! And the Clinic and Hospital facilities offer a coffee shop and cafe, gift shop, pharmacy, and other amenities. "
