"My Grandmother stayed here in the months prior to her death. The staff were friendly and respectful in our few encounters. I also volunteered here for several weeks. The residents participated in a variety of activities and they all seemed happy with their surroundings. Many accommodations were made for those residents that had a hard time participating fully. I was impressed with the care and compassion the staff showed for the more difficult residents, and I saw a sense of camaraderie between residents. "

"We chose Sheboygan Senior Community for mom because of the combination between the facilities, convenience of location, and level of care. I like the overall level of care. The staff is also quite attentive, and I don't think there are any complaints about the food. There are choices of level of care, and there are different levels of care in the building (depending on what your needs are). The sizes of the rooms were adequate and were fine. Nothing outstanding, nothing average, just average. They have a good choice of activities."

"A lot of people go to Willowdale for rehab. Overall, it was just fine. We did not really see a lot of things, but it was nice and cozy. It was a nice place to be. They have an assisted living across the street. The rooms and the surroundings were very pleasant. "

"My father-in-law was at Homestead Care Center before he passed away a couple of months ago. They had a great and wonderful nursing staff. It was a very caring place. It was a little bit larger, and they had two floors. They had a lobby, and they had several bigger visiting areas in the facility. The rooms were great. They did a wonderful job. "

"When it came to paper work, notifying me of anything my aunt needed or whatever, the staff from Golden Living Center always called. I couldn't have been happier with it. As soon as you walk in the building, it had a really clean smell. It was located in a nice spot and was quiet. It was very good. "

"Sheboygan Senior Community is a brand new facility. They built a new facility and moved everything there. Because it’s only a few months old, it was gorgeous. All the amenities were there. The eating facilities looked more like a restaurant than a cafeteria which was nice for the residents. They had everything. They even have an aviary where there are birds; a bunch of courtyards, extra TVs, community rooms where people could get together, play cards, talk or do whatever they want to do. We didn’t have an appointment and it was late at night but the people that we talked to were wonderful. The nurse on duty was more than accommodating. She took myself and my son through the whole building and showed us the rehab room. They had a lot of relevant things in there had she been able to go there. They actually have a car in the building to practice getting in and out of when somebody has a problem. Everybody has their own room, bedroom, and a living room. They have little kitchenette-type areas where they are allowed to have their own refrigerator and microwave. I was impressed with it. "

"Right now, my mother is in Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. The rehab facility is very nicely kept up; adequate parking. The staff has been very courteous and very professional. The rooms are nice; there are windows. The nursing stations are within calling distance if something happens. She’s not fond of the food but it seems to be well-planned food nutrition-wise. They have extracurricular activities. They have music and card games. "

"I toured Pine Haven Christian Communities Giddings Avenue Campus, and I would highly recommend this. They offer great amenities. However, they were just too far away from any of us that would be visiting my mom. But I think that they'd be worth placing people. It has everything from duplexes to apartments to assistant living and then to memory care. So, it's a community. They have their own hairdresser, too. It's very nice. I thought it was great. I'd go there as a senior citizen myself way before I need any medical help. It's a beautiful apartment with a full kitchen and bedrooms. They're beautiful."

"My mother-in-law is temporarily staying at Atrium, and I think it's very good there. The staff is great, wonderful, and caring. It's also closer to our house. She doesn't need as much care as what she's given there, but I wish she could stay there."
