Hamilton Park Place

My visit to Hamilton Park Place was very good. I was given a tour and everything else and worked with the administrator. I met a couple of the staff, and I knew several of the other people residing in that facility. Most of the rooms there were private-pay, and my mother is doing Medicare/Medicaid. So the room that they'll have for my mother is a shared room with a shared bathroom, they took a big room, and you have a curtain dividing the two. So it's not as nice as the rooms in the other place I toured, which had all the private rooms. I haven't had the chance to try their food but I saw the dining area, and they told me that they serve certain things on certain days. The dining room was fairly nice, and they had common areas to go eat in and so forth. Most of the residents were just milling around and doing their own thing. They took me down to an area where they can sit and have fun and play games and do whatever. They had a beauty parlor, and people go there and stuff. It was later in the day, so they were pretty much done with activities, and most of them were just sitting there relaxing.

Hamilton Park Place was a nice facility and the people were nice, too. It is a newer facility so it was very beautiful and very nice inside. They offered a shared room. Otherwise, I think most of the residents had their own room. They used to have a gym, but when COVID hit, that all changed. So, they're changing that room into something different now. They showed me every place there and explained everything to me. They had a nice, beautiful courtyard and it was fenced in so the residents couldn't wander off. It was really pretty.

I chose Hamilton Park Place for my dad, and I think everything is great. His apartment is very nice, and he is very happy there. The staff members are all great, and they keep him busy. My dad said that the food is too good. Some of the activities that he enjoys there are the parties, trivia, yahtzee, bingo, and crafts.
