"Mom moved into Prairie Gardens. When we first took her there to tour the place, she immediately liked it. She liked the atmosphere, which was cozy and friendly. The food is wonderful. The plates and the food are always warm. The staff is very attentive, and they keep the call time to five minutes, ten minutes at the most. They come in and they ask if there's anything else that Mom needs help with. Anything we needed was gotten there right away. We are really happy and she's happy. Mom's room has a path for her wheelchair. It has a large bathroom that she could get into, and everything is arranged nicely. The facility is an older building, but is well kept. Within the one week that she's been there, they had a Halloween craft, bingo, and movies. They have a beauty shop on Thursdays."

"Eden Vista Madison was very nice and very clean. The staff who assisted me during the tour was very nice, very knowledgeable, very understanding, and caring. The apartments were nice. They ranged from large apartments to small efficiency. I saw a dining area, and everything seemed nice. I saw their activity schedule, which looked good too."

"We choose Sylvan Crossing at Westshire for my brother because it is a small community and a fairly new facility, but we have not move him in yet. The inside is gorgeous. They have 32 private rooms and they are absolutely beautiful, spotless and very generous space wise. The dining room, the gathering area, the rooms that are open and available and all of the different rooms, I am amazed on how big they are. They are also in very nice size, well light and they are all in outset and facing windows. We didn't eat there, but I did see on the board what they are having each meal and it looks nice and well balanced meal. They tell me that they fix everything from scratch.The only thing that I notice is that they have a kind of a porch on the outside that has spindles and the spindles can be re-painted, but other than, they have a lovely parking lot and it is close to the water. The one who assisted us is the assisted manager and her name is Carmen. She is very helpful. She isn't expecting us, so we come in there as a surprise, but she shows us the whole facility. They have a list of activities posted, very morning after breakfast they have exercises and after that, people have a choice of what they can do or if they don't want to do any of them, they can go visit in the lounge area, go to their rooms or go outside for a walk around the facility. They have a walking path around the entire facility. It is very pleasant, homey and very nice. The location is wonderful. It is like in a cove and there is a lake there. The staff is very happy. They are doing their job and they are smiling. I will recommend them. "

"Hamilton Park Place was a nice facility and the people were nice, too. It is a newer facility so it was very beautiful and very nice inside. They offered a shared room. Otherwise, I think most of the residents had their own room. They used to have a gym, but when COVID hit, that all changed. So, they're changing that room into something different now. They showed me every place there and explained everything to me. They had a nice, beautiful courtyard and it was fenced in so the residents couldn't wander off. It was really pretty."

"We toured the Heritage House of Portage. We chose it for my mom because of the rapport that the person gave when we were there and the information that she gave us, answering any questions. We were pleased with everything we saw and heard. They have a lot of activities. Plus, the room for one person is very adequate. The doctor recommended it also."

"The Rivers was friendly, quiet, and spacious. Care was like one-on-one. I had to wait a while because everyone was being attended to. I went at lunchtime. It needed some updates. It was like 70s, 80s style. The rooms were comfortable. The layout was very accessible to the bathrooms from the rooms. It's like family. It's warm."

"My in-laws moved to The Meadows of Fall River, and the thing we liked about it was, that it wasn't as separated as some of the other ones that we were shown. They co-mingle a lot of the individuals as much as they can, keeping them separated for what they need and what their situation is. But it's nice that they allow the individuals to be in a community instead of, this building, that building, this wing, that wing, kind of thing. And they can't go from place to place. They had a common space, and then you could go off and be in your quiet area or where you needed certain other things that individuals do, so it was pretty cool. My mother-in-law has Alzheimer's and dementia. As for the medical care, they bridged the medical needs of my father-in-law so that they could stay together. They had a meal last night, and my mother-in-law's was gone in seconds. My father-in-law isn't eating his food. He's basically in his last days, but the food looks good. They have three activities each day, like bingo, balloon volleyball, and different things. They also have exercise classes for the individuals. They have entertainment periodically that comes in from the outside. With all of the amenities that we got, they were a lot more reasonable than the other ones we looked at."
