Carolina Assisted Living

All our food is made in house and on-site in our commercial kitchen. There is a variety of foods to ensure all needs are met, from meat and potatoes (grandma's favorites) to fresh fruit cups and salads.

Secured community with access code to enter and exit. 24 hour awake staff.

This is based on the family preference and the information being shared. Critical information is provided via a direct call to the resident representative. Information regarding community activities and events are generally communicated via email or letter, again, depending on preference.

Daytime: 1 to 10 ratio

Nighttime: 1:20 ratio (10 pm to 6 am)

Cats and dogs are accepted, but must be spayed/neutered, potty trained and the resident must be able to provide care for the pet. Cats are restricted to the resident apartment, this is due to the frequency of individuals with allergies. Dogs are able to enjoy our large outdoor yard, but must be leashed.

Staff receives 16 hours of continuing education throughout a 12 month period. Areas of training are: Resident Rights, First Aide and Choking Response, Fire Safety, Standard Precautions, Diabetes, Fall Prevention, Working with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Other topics as related to specific areas of need, such as catheter care, etc.

The community is a secured community. The exit doors are alarmed and will activate should someone exit the community without entering the code. Alarms also ring to staff pagers. Staff are trained in specific response to a missing person.
