My wife and I live in a senior community called Warm Beach Senior Community and it's a wonderful place. It's a facility started by the Free Methodist Church, and it was set up for retired missionaries and ministers but you don't have to be a retired minister or missionary to live here. It's a wonderful Christian community. People care for each other, pray for each other, look out for each other, and they have care from independent living to memory care. We've lived here for about five years now and we are in their independent living. They have several different parts of the facility. They have a mobile home park with 46 mobile homes in it, which are all fairly new, and they keep the units upgraded. When the house is in there too long, they move it out and put a new one in. That's where we live and we have about a 1,700-square-foot home. Across the street, they have multiple apartments for independent living with 1 or 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments available. Then they also have an area for people who are still independent but don't want a big unit and it's called Beachwood. There are probably 40 or 50 different apartments in that unit and those people get two meals a day. If you need further care, they have a memory care unit that has this group home concept. Several people have their own private rooms, but they share common areas and their meals are all prepared for them. We have a community dining room and we can go in when we feel like it. We get one meal a week and the food is excellent. They have a bus where they take people out on different tours every week. They also have a physical therapy department. They have newsletters that come out and give people options to go to various events during the week. This is located about 80 acres of wooded land out in the forest and it's quite beautiful. There are multiple buildings and most of them are updated and current. The layout is also excellent. It's an 80-acre campus with a big part of it being in the woods. We walk every day anywhere from 1 to 4 miles in the woods. We would walk off the front door and we've got trails that go on. They have other activities like singing groups, bingo, chaplain service, Christian service, and community meetings where people can go and sit down and share their views about how things are working. Their activities are excellent. Cost-wise, they're one of the least expensive places around. It's excellent value for the money.

Warm Beach Senior Community got apartments for independent living. You go to the other parts for assisted living. And they transition you to nursing home care all up there. It's all there. It's a great place to go to, it's just kind of a little far away. Other than that, we had a meal, and some of the folks were there during breakfast time. They kind of set this all up for us because we'd shown some interest. It's a nice area. It makes it nice to know that you're in the same area and they can just flip you right over. If you're in their assisted living, or even their independent living, and all of a sudden you need nursing duty, that level of care, and if there were some wait times or openings, you would have priority to transition over, because you're already there. Assisted living, memory care, and nursing care are all on one level. Independent living I think is like little apartments, like little duplex apartments. They do tours and stuff like that. They have a lot of activities for folks. You can walk down to the beach. It's a faith-based organization. But, they're not proselytizing or anything like that. You could be an atheist and go there and be welcome and happy.

Warm Beach Senior Community is a healthcare center and there is senior living around there. They're like condos and then they have assisted living and a nursing home, so if there's an emergency, they take them right over there. If they say they need to go to the hospital, then they take them to the hospital. I visited the assisted living, and it was very good. It's an older building, and the only downside is the rooms were very small. You can get a bed in there and maybe a comfortable chair, but that's about it. They had a nice patio. I like that one very much even though the rooms were small and it's very costly. The residents were eating snacks and they were doing activities, they were playing some games, and someone was playing the piano. They enjoyed the games and even those that weren't participating just stayed on the sidelines and cheered everybody on. The care there seemed good. They have a bus and they were going to be taking them to the festival that Friday. The staff was talking about all the outings. They give you rides to your appointments and things like that. The staff was wonderful. The facility was just old. It could use some remodelling, but it was very clean.

We visited Warm Beach, and it was very good. The place was excellent. You can use the dining area, or they deliver meals to your room. The staff during the tour was excellent. They had a pool and a patio.

My husband and I used to live at Warm Beach Heath Care Center. They didn't have an assisted living as such, that's why we moved. They stuck me in the hospital, and they wouldn't let me out. It was wonderful until I got stuck in the hospital there. I liked where we lived. They just didn't have assisted living, which I particularly needed. It's a retirement community, and it has a nursing home. We were in a mobile home, then moved to an apartment. Lunch and dinner were included. There were usually a couple of options on the menu, and it was good food. We could sit with friends and visit until this COVID thing came up. We really enjoyed living there. I really liked the apartment we had. My husband also liked it because he could get out and roam. It was connected with Warm Beach concert grounds where they do Lights of Christmas, and he could get a nice hike in there all the way down to the beach and back up. He really enjoyed that part.

What a lively beautiful semi-resort community. The residents I saw who are senior, active, happy and healthy. There are several types of housing available. The activities are so numerous that it hard to decide what to do. There are over two dozen clubs here. There is an indoor pool with water aerobics every day. Many of the buildings are single level and you can walk out into beautiful grounds with trees, flowers and birds. There are even one eagle family in one of the tall trees. The dining room serves excellent five course meals. Stanwood area is a nice growing communty away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Warm Beach Senior Community is like an apartment building. They serve four meals a day. The people who were there, I hate to say, is depressing. Many of them were not well, and could not speak. The group of people that we happen to see during lunch, very few of them were enjoying themselves and having a nice lunch. Some of them could hardly eat their lunch. We certainly care about these people but we're not ready to join that group. We're in our 80s, and very active. They have great amenities for people. One of the problems is we're so active to be just in an apartment in a large building full of people who can hardly walk. It isn't my cup of tea. I know what I have to do. However, the people in charge there are very caring. It was just depressing to us. But the facilities, the people, the amenities they have were fine. We saw the places where they have art activities, movies, lectures, and a coffee room where people get together. The staff was outstanding in their care for the people living there.
