For the past four years, I have been over to the Winslow Manor on a monthly basis to see people. I have noticed that the building has been getting a bit of a "facelift" over the past year or so. It looks fresh, inviting and welcoming. The new landscaping also has a freshness about it. The rooms are large with most having plenty of sunlight as well as being within walking distance of downtown Winslow. It looks like the older appliances are being systematically updated. and I know that the maintenance staff are there often checking off items that need their attention. You can't ask for a nicer group of maintenance folks!! With a dinner meal five nights a week, it makes for a nice community gathering. Who doesn't like getting to know someone over a good meal? There is a sense of community where residents check on each other and welcome new residents with a smile and a bit of a chat.

The location is the only thing going for it. Building feels old. Hall carpets dirty. Wear and tear visible outside and inside. Apartment small for the high rental. Zero soundproofing. Cooking smells. Cafeteria type dinner. Bathrooms old and tiny. Staff do not respond. Landscaping minimal. Mishmash of furniture in lobby and sitting areas. Would not recommend, especially considering the high rent

My father is so very happy living at Winslow Manor. His 2-bedroom apartment is beautiful and overlooks Eagle Harbor with plenty of view and light. Dad's apartment is spacious, with fresh paint and carpet, a washer and dryer and full kitchen. His neighbors are wonderful, friendly and supportive. Five nights a week, he joins others in the dining room for dinner, before a fireplace and there are frequent seasonal celebrations, occasional barbecues, etc. that Dad can enjoy, as well. There is weekly yoga, community events posted, as well as puzzles which residents can join together to work in common areas. We are so grateful to have this option of independent living for Dad. He loves Winslow Manor.

The Winslow Manor is a great place for independent senior living. The units are spacious with all that you need. The property is close to downtown Winslow, the waterfront and a lovely park. My mother lived at these apartments for 10 years and thoroughly enjoyed all that it offered, she would have stayed but as time marches on she needed more help. My mother had a very good community around her, and she always enjoyed bingo, yoga and dinner with her friends, especially "wine" night. I want to thank the Winslow Manor and staff and residents for everything, you made my mother feel safe and welcomed always.

I would not recommend Winslow Manor to anyone. The rents have risen steeply every year making it impossible to make Winslow Manor a long term home, especially on Social Security. The apartments have low quality fixtures and appliances - many that need replacing. While the maintenance crew fix basic items the structure of the building is extremely poor with cracks and absolutely zero sound proofing. One can hear conversations of one's neighbors. The emergency exit stairs lights aren't maintained so one has to stumble around in the dark. The exterior landscaping is non- existent.. The food is poor and has high sodium so inedible. One has to navigate stairs to get to the entrance or find the ramp which is far away from the entrance. The trash area is always a huge mess. The management is unfriendly, does not communicate with residents. Rents are high for low quality apartments and services.

Bailey Manor has really great care providers. The staff ratio is four people to one care provider. The residents are given a lot of freedom and are relaxed. My mom is taken care of well. They have church service, go on walks, play games, and do crafts and stuff like that.

The Winslow Manor has improved greatly over the past 24 months. The dining service offers healthy options, the interior and exterior have been renovated and the maintenance crew is very responsive to any issues that crop up. I would recommend this building to any senior that wants independence and some companionship as well.

I would give zero stars if possible. The owners of Winslow Manor increase the rent by 5% each year - while most residents are on social security. The building is old and badly built and one can hear everything in neighboring apartments. There is absolutely no soundproofing. The food (Mon - Fri) is absolutely awful. Sandwiches every Tuesday and then pasta, pork and chicken on other days and green and fresh vegetables are never served. Fish may be served once every two months if lucky. Dinner is also served at 5pm which is much too early. The finishes inside the apartments are cheap, and the maintenance horrible. Response is non-existent. Security consists of a locked front door with a buzzer but it is often propped open and anyone is let in. One needs to use a series of stairs to go down to the front entrance. There is a ramp in the rear of the building. I would not recommend this building. Much to expensive for what you get.

Thr management of this facities is horrible they are iinconsiderate of their elderly disabled residents They raise their rent annually by %5. rent has increase to nearly double in the past six years and is now a whopping 1420.00 a month. All residents are on Social security and moslty all are in their 80's and 90's they can no longer affoerd to live here and get nothing for their money but grief . the food they say is included is horrible and not appropriate food for most residents high in sodum sugar and fat mostly junk food. Their maintenance is either lazy or inexperienced and it is impossible yo get repair done or have a complaint heard. Wonderful residents but management needs to be changed and investigated. something just isn't right here

This building is the "independent living" funnel leading to "assisted living" buildings. Residents are continually frustrated in their requests to have repairs made, problems corrected, or responses to communications. Dinner is served five weeknights unless there is an excuse not to serve. Menu is inappropriate for seniors, and nutritionally unsound. Food is badly prepared. Marketing person (there is no trained manager) talks about her world-class chef. He is a maintenance man. Investors in this company clearly want high profits.
