My grandma lost her husband 5 years ago to lung cancer, and ever since then she hasn't been quite right. As a family, we toured several facilities in the area and ultimately decided on admitting her to the Federal Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. We couldn't be happier with our decision to take Grandma here. The staff is friendly and helpful. They provide meals, activities, and help with household chores like laundry and washing dishes. Grandma's neighbors and friends in the facility are all great and fun people and make it a positive environment for everyone. They have an official shuttle that they use to bring the seniors to activites like bingo, farmkers markets, swap meets, and other fun activites so everyone isn't cooped up all the time. For the money, it is a very worthwhile place to consider taking your loved ones for an assisted living center. Everyone loves coming to visit Grandma now!

The staff really tries! But they are understaffed and always running to try to keep up. The food is bland and unappealing. The outdoor areas are depressing. The property is old, with low ceilings. However, there is new ownership and a dedication to improvement. The VA patients were removed because the facility didn't meet their requirements. I wouldn't rule this facility out for your loved one, but i'm glad my father isn't there any longer.
