The Arbor is a great place. Ive been in numerous facilities and this one is unique. And it's about the Management & Staff! They are very helpful and they actually care about their residents. That's not typically the case. Most places...it's just a job and to please corporate management. Here they do the right thing! The facility is kept clean and even though the majority of the building is old...the resident actually gets a larger apartment vs and newer construction facility. They have fairly high turnover on the Aides but Im sure that's a pay issue. Some have stayed a long time too. Food is ok...there definitely could be a lot more attention to resident's dietary requirements (salt, sugar, diabetes, etc). And following the menu that is distributed weekly ....sometimes they don't receive what is on the menu. Some residents actually plan their meals around the menu...by adding to it or even not interested in what is served. Food is such a big part of everyone's well being....this could be improved. It's ok...just could be improved. But...if you are looking for a great place...this is by far the best place I've ever had family living there and I don't worry about their care. And that is "peace of mind" Mary Jo and Kathy run a very good place! I give it 5 out of 5 Stars!!!!

My father-in-law is at The Arbor Assisted Living & Memory Care. The staff is very nice and very helpful. Our interaction with the staff has been really good. The only thing I have to complain about is that there was a problem with this meds. They didn't have a prescription to get a refill. Other than that, it's a very clean facility. They keep track of the residents. The food seems to be OK. It's not a good diabetic food choice, but other than that he likes it when he's having a good day. He has a one-bedroom room. The bedroom is separate from the living area. I believe it's about 700 square feet. He's got like a little living-kitchen area. The kitchen area has a fridge, a microwave, a countertop, and a sink. He's got a small place for a small table, and a place for a little sofa with a TV. His bedroom is big enough for two end tables, a full-size bed, and a dresser. They have two closets in there. The restroom is a decent size. It's good enough for handicapped people in wheelchairs. They come in and they clean, and they do their laundry. They have a place where he could get his hair cut. There's a little area where they have activities, but it's like an open eating area. They have a small courtyard. It's just like a place you can go sit outside, watch the birds and everything. It's very reasonable.

I toured The Arbor Assisted Living and Memory Care. Their room size was better than the other place I toured. I had some familiarity with this establishment because my father-in-law was there quite a few years ago. The director is the same one who was there about eight years ago when my father-in-law was there. It was clean, it was fine, they have remodeled and added an additional room since then. So it was nice, it was kind of average. Of those I visited, the rates for this place are the lowest. The place was fine, it's adequate, it just wasn't anything special. The staff who gave the tour was very helpful and nice. They have a nice screened-in porch where residents can go and sit outside. They have newer rooms, it's clean, and as far as amenities, they have a hair salon.

We visited The Arbor Assisted Living & Memory Care. I think they were very professional, very clean, and excellent. The staff was absolutely the best. They're excellent. The rooms were perfect. They had a kitchenette, a living area, a bedroom, and a large bathroom. They were just perfect little living spaces. I would recommend this place because of the environment. From the staff to the actual physical living condition, it was just all excellent. They care so much, and they are just above and beyond the assisted living experience that I have seen. They had us go through a different door, they checked us carefully with the temperature, and they had limited area to view. They handled it correctly and no one had the opportunity to go in and physically see the place.

The Arbor is a little smaller. You have to do your own furnishings since it's not included. I saw the guests having lunch at a big table and it's very nice. Overall, it was clean, open, and the administrator who showed me around was very nice. There's plenty of room for wheelchairs. There were residents sitting outside talking, so it was a cheerful place.

The Arbor has recently been redone in a lot of areas. They have a facility for Alzheimer's patients. They have many groups come in to provide entertainment and information. They also have a hairdresser and nurses. The people there are content and the management is very good. The staff is excellent and the residents like them. The rooms were well done and with excellent taste. They have a separate bedroom and living area, and there were some that were just bedrooms.
