"My brother moved into The Gardens at Brook Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. The experience has been wonderful. The staff is very attentive and very energetic. They are living up to their billing as they do what they say they will do, and that's all you can ask for. His room is spacious, clean, and bright. He thinks the food is great. They have a way of gettng him to engage. He's played bingo. He's exercising. He even went to the chapel on Sunday, and these are all things that he never used to do. The upkeep is very good. It's very clean. They provide my brother a place with an open enough area to walk around, get some exercise, and go outside. They even have a swimming pool that, if we come over, we can take him to, or somebody can take him to that pool. He loves the water, so that's a big thing for him. The only problem we've had is that they keep messing up on the contract and getting it done. It's a little paperwork problem, but that's no big deal."

"We chose The Bridges at Mission. My mom is already a resident there. They have been excellent so far. I've talked to the administrator several times and she's been very helpful. I have no qualms with them. I've visited the facility. I went and saw my mom the other day there, and she was quite happy. If my mom's happy, I'm happy. She is in the memory care unit. We don't know so much about the food because we had a two-week period where they asked us not to come and see her, but she said that they feed her very well. She did aerobics. They have painting, karaoke, and stuff. The only thing we were kind of worried about is that they did not have church service. We went and sat outside, and it was a very nice area. We wouldn't have to worry about her if she went outside by herself. You couldn't ask for a better staff. The administrator gave us her home phone number."

"We toured Biltmore Assisted Living. The accommodations were great. They gave us a thorough tour. It was a very cozy site. You could tell it was a little bit on the older side compared to the other place. It was probably a little more affordable because they tend to have more semi-private rooms there. I wanted a private room. They had the same access to a doctor and a nurse practitioner. They had access to recreational visitors that come in, and they work with them whether it is music, some kind of painting activity, or things like that. One of the semi-private rooms they showed me was very cozy and very nice, but I noticed they did a patch job on one of the walls. I think it still needed a coat paint. Overall, it was good. It was a very cozy place."

"We have already spoke with the Director, and we selected the Barcelona Assisted Living for my mom. We were given a very thorough tour. We were very pleased with what we found. The Director there is very, very professional and very accommodating for everything. She has been very good about having her phone line open for us to be able to access and keep her updated on what's going on. We have been very pleased. They offer mani-pedis and things like that. They also have outside visitors, such as musicians that come in and keep the place lively. They have a house doctor and a nurse practitioner assigned to that area."

"The Bridges at Edinburg Assisted Living Homes is a great facility. The reason why it didn't work for me is because it's not a lock-down facility, and there's a chance my husband could wander off. I'm impressed with the staff. It's a very nice facility with a very warm staff. I saw some people playing a board game, and the dining area was very nice. I saw a living room, and that's where they do music therapy. The rooms were very clean, very nice, and a good size."
