Legends on Lake Lorraine

My mom is a resident of Legends on Lake Lorraine. We were lucky they had one opening, and we didn't waste any time taking it. It's an adjustment for her. She was in a larger apartment with two bedrooms, a living area, and a kitchen area, which she wasn't using. We moved her to a smaller unit with just a bedroom, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. It's a very nice unit. It's interesting. The floor she's on, the memory care unit, is unique because the hallways look like a little village as you walk down the hallway. It seems like a little home. It's very well done and has a homey feeling, and I highly recommend it to anyone else. They have a cafe and they have formal dining area on the first floor of the facility that they can use, but a lot of times they eat in their dining room on their floor, so they only have to walk a few feet to get to that, which if they're don't feel like going a long way. It's very handy, and the food is very good. The staff was very helpful and informative, and asked us many questions. They're very caring. They check a lot on the residents there to make sure they're okay and do all the other things they do. So, I felt really good about moving her there. They have a lot of live music that comes in to entertain. They have exercise programs. They have a swimming pool, a salon, and various eating areas. Lake Lorraine is across the street, so they have fishing, gardening, games like bingo, and card games. They make cards. They have artistic classes. They have a lot of different activities.

My father is still living in Grand Living at Lake Lorraine. It's all pretty good. The room is private, and they provide meals for the residents.

I like Grand Living at Lake Lorraine. It's actually very affordable. It was very good. They had a memory care unit too, and it was very good for active seniors. They have a lot of good programs. They have two good restaurants. They would take you to a lot of places. They had local entertainment that came in. They worked very hard on making it nice. They were all very considerate and tried to help you with whatever you needed. The director was a pretty amazing woman. She did foster care as well. She was a young woman, but she really wanted to give back. The food was great. It was a big place. If you didn't like what they had, they had a great hamburger you could have anytime. The facility was kind of average.
