We are seriously looking at Brookdale Grayson View. It seems to be our first choice. It's very, very pleasant. The tour was handled very professionally. Stephanie, who was the director, helped us with every question that we had and gave us different options to consider. We could see our sister living there without a doubt. They gave us three different units with three different price ranges, and considering the financial aspect, we have to see if one of those would fit in with my sister's needs. We looked at the dining area; we didn't sample any food. The dining area was adequate, sufficient, and very pleasant. It smelled good and was very appetizing. The community looked maintained and perfectly clean. The residents that we came in contact with seemed happy, and everything seemed very pleasant.

My mother has moved into Brookdale Grayson View. The best thing about them was theirfriendliness and help in getting everything moved in. They're very friendly and helpful. Her room is small but cozy. We added in things that Mom needed to live there. The room by itself was set up very bland, but we added some things that made it better. Their assisted living service is not efficient. I think they're short on staff because when Mom pushes a button for assistance, it takes half an hour, or sometimes no one arrives. In general, they seem to be lacking resources to get fast the efficient care service they're providing. With regards to staff, there's one person I talked to on the phone, and she was really good. But then another person didn't seem she understood my concern. That person wasn't interested. I felt there was a condition going on that should be addressed immediately, and she said, 'Well, we'll handle that in the morning.'

My husband has moved into Brookdale Grayson View. They told me not to visit him for a couple of days, so he gets acclimated. I called yesterday to see how he was doing. He is in memory care. It is a nice place. The staff is very nice. His room seems nice and tidy. Around the grounds, it looks like an attractive place. It is clean and neat. Right now, they're looking for somebody for the salon.

The tour at Brookdale Grayson View was great. Everybody was very nice. They have the dining included. They have beautiful walking areas. They do your laundry and clean. They have a lot of activities, which we were concerned about. The rooms were nice. They were a little smaller than we anticipated, and we felt like our parents would be a little bit cramped there, but everything else was beautiful. The menu looked good.

We already went to Brookdale Grayson View and did a tour and spoke with them and all, and it just didn't work out because they wanted too much money. The tour was very nice, and it is a very nice place. It was a beautiful place. My mom takes medications and she's been taking them for years. She has Alzheimer's but she knows how to take her medications and everything. But my mom could not answer certain questions like she didn't know the medication by name. Some of them are very long and I didn't even know how to pronounce some of them. She didn't have a whole lot of them, just about four of them. And because of that, they are charging $600 extra. Because they said she failed the test, she will pay $600 extra to get a nurse to come in to give her her medicine. She's been doing it for years by herself. So, I just thought that was a money racket. The staff was very nice. She wasn't the person that I was scheduled with, but I was running behind that day. She was okay, but some of the information that she had given me wasn't quite accurate. The rooms were very basic. They had a dresser, a bed, and a nice chair in there. They had a nice shower, bath and shower, and a walk-in closet. It was a very nice room. The dining area look very nice and was very clean. I guess they always have different kinds of crafts going on and they would have bingo and they have different events going on throughout the whole month. When I saw the people in the dining area, they were like laughing and smiling. There weren't any people in the hallways sitting in wheelchairs or anything like that. It was a very, very nice place.

Brookdale Grayson View was very nice. The staff was wonderful. They explained things very well. They have 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom, and they were very spacious. They have a multitude of different things. They have games. They have different things that they could do, like helpful things, so if somebody likes to fold clothes, they can fold clothes. There are a lot of things to keep you occupied. I thought the security was very good, and that's one thing I was very interested in. Anybody would be fine in there. They aren't going anywhere, and they aren't accidentally getting out or that kind of thing. It's very secure. I didn't see any food when I was there, but I like the idea that you are given choices because someday somebody might not like one thing or another, and I thought that was nice. That was good. It was welcoming even on this day of the pandemic. It was still a welcoming atmosphere. They have different settings where you can go and sit, and there's a lot of vegetation. There are trees and flowers. It was very nice.

My father-in-law loves Brookdale Grayson View, and he is doing very well. He thinks he has lived there all along, but he has dementia, so it's going quite well. The staff is great, they call me almost every day with questions and stuff, and they are very attentive. It's a shared room, and they only put dementia patients with another person -- they don't leave them alone. There's a shared bathroom, and they each have their own bedroom area. They find out what the patient likes, and they let him help with cooking, cleaning and social activities. He loves going to breakfast, lunch, and supper with everybody. When we visit, we make appointments, but only two people could get inside. I didn't try the food, but they asked me what he likes and dislikes. They said he is an extremely good eater, so it must be decent food.

My uncle is now in Brookdale Grayson View. I haven't really seen much of it because of Covid. I've only been in one room and that's a little conference area to meet with the staff members and my uncle. The staff has been really wonderful. I've only had one visit. Covid has only allowed me one visit, and they just made arrangements for me to see him. I had just dropped him off, so I'm not going to be able to see him now for about another two weeks. There's a lot of amenities. They're wonderful. The staff that I've talked to has been very nice. So far, I haven't really had any issues or concerns. The amenities that they have are really great. Meals are included. It seems to be a really nice facility as far as the outside and just being in one room. It's very clean, and there's a very welcoming atmosphere when you walk in. I've really liked the staff. They've been very open and honest and explained everything to me so far. When my uncle fell trying to get up and go to the bathroom by himself, they called me right away.

I moved into Brookdale Grayson View. It is very beautiful and has clean accommodations. They have nice rooms, plenty of space, good food, excellent staff, and it's in a very beautiful neighborhood. The room is basically 11x17 with a long hallway and big walk-in shower and a bathroom. It's very friendly, and they provide all my meals, do my bed, laundry and everything I need. The doctors come in here and I get my haircut here, too. I have everything right here. They have memory care too which is very nice. It's economical and the staff is the best trained in the country. They're excellent.

Brookdale Grayson View was excellent. They would even let me have my dog. The rooms were fine. I liked the atmosphere and the location. It's easy to get to and it was nice. It met my standards, but it was too far from me.

My mother is in Brookdale Grayson View. The staff have been good working with her, and the food is just as good as anywhere. The rooms are nice, and fairly large. They have an exercise program, movies, and sing-alongs. They have a whole calendar of things.

My sister-in-law is already in Brookdale Grayson View and, so far, it has been very good. She is comfortable there. They have a lot of activities, and the facility is very nice, clean, and well kept. They have sufficient staff to meet the needs of the residents. It is very nice and very well-maintained with very nice landscaped yards. It is within an assisted living community, so the entrance to it is a very nice, very pretty community. The building itself is in well-maintained condition, and there are lots of extra things for the residents to do.

Mom was here for only 2 weeks. We were pleased with the care. She was in a private room that was very nice. I did not eat there, but I saw when she was eating, and it looked very good. She never participated in anything that I knew of, but they had activities, and they had an activity director. I liked that the workers were very nice.
