My dad moved into Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a month now. They are taking very good care of him. I don't know the price of it because right now, his insurance is covering him. I like their understandability. I can call whenever. I know they're busy and get short with you, but they never have. Any little thing they call and keep me updated. Everyone I've dealt with has been wonderful. I haven't tried their food, and with his dementia, he's not a good source. When I asked him one day what they had for lunch, and he didn't know, a lady yelled, "It's meatloaf, and it was really good.". The facility was very clean. When I read up on it, they have an activities room, or if the patient can't go there, they have people come in throughout the day to sit with the patient to do activities. We don't see his room. When we visit, they take him to a visitor's room because of COVID.

My mother-in-law has been placed in Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The building is very old. It needs to be remodeled. I know in nursing homes, they don't have a lot of time to spend with people. I'm just not happy with her there. She has dementia and they just let her sit in a chair, but she gets up and falls. They don't have any sensors there, like they did in the hospital or some nursing homes. They have a call button but when you have dementia, you forget about it. The rooms are small. The patients that she's in with make noises all the time. My mother-in-law is hard of hearing so she said it doesn't bother her too much. It's fairly clean. I've asked for a couple of different things and they haven't gotten done. I think they're very busy, but most of the things get taken care of. They have taken her to the activities room, but she doesn't participate very much. The last time she was in the activity room, she had a seizure, fell out of a wheelchair, and was admitted to the hospital for several days. When I go there, I'll tell her there's a movie going but she usually says she doesn't want to do anything. She can walk, but they want to walk her and they don't want her to get out and walk herself. Nursing homes are outrageous. If I was staying in a hotel and paying that much, it would be something much nicer.
