I'm in ACCELerate Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation for rehab. I like them. They're pretty good. I was here when I had my first operation because I had two operations on the same knee. I will be here for six to eight weeks. The staff is good. The food is great. Today for lunch, I had Salisbury steak, mashed potato, and carrots and it was really good. My room is nice. It's a nice facility.

Please read the other 1 star reviews and listen. My biggest regret is that I did not. I, like many others, was woo'd by the appearance of this facility and the single patient rooms. The place looks beautiful and clean, but the level of care if absolutely deplorable. I cannot stress this enough! The beautiful PT and OT gyms are ALWAYS empty. There is no scheduled time for services. Many appointments are either skipped entirely or consist of a 10 minute session of mostly talking. Not only did my mother not make any physical gains while here, she actually regressed. They also stopped her rehab services a week prior to her discharge date. The state is investigating this as it is Medicare Fraud. The social worker has absolutely no idea what is going on and has no actual information to share in terms of where patients should go after discharge. PT records are inaccurate and goals are measured once if at all. After leaving this facility, my mother was walking within 2 weeks at the next facility she went to. She was at accelerate for over 2 months. I could go on and on about the terrible food and the way the staff speaks to the patients. Activities are non-existent for the patients. The only parties and celebrations that occurred were for the staff and as part of an effort to hire more staff. They are beyond short staffed. Call bells would go unanswered for 30-45min. Patients resorted to yelling for help from their rooms. I was there daily to visit my mother as I felt she was in an unsafe environment. Nurses did not answer the phone at the station. There was literally no way to get in touch with a human after the front desk receptionist left for the day at 7pm. I have learned that this place is constantly being investigated. I urge you to keep your loved one out of this facility.

First & foremost - do not send your loved ones here. Rooms were nice, if you didn't look too closely. Who has rugs in a healthcare facility? How often are they actually cleaned? Rugs were swiftered, not vacuumed most days. Bathrooms are partially designed for wheelchair use, and do not have accessable grab bars throughout. Physical Therapy is almost non-existent. Most of the time (for my visit) it consisted of 15 min arm chair exercises, not the strength training my script stated. Food is horrible. Lukewarm at best. Not nutritional. No fresh fruit or veggies. Can't get a decent cup of coffee, a cold glass of ice tea, but you can get a glass of partially frozen milk. Staff is pleasant to your face, but many of the night staff are less than nice when not in your room. Night staff is loud. All departments appear to be understaffed, although facility is not full. There are NO recreational activities on weekends. There are no rooms where patients can gather & watch TV together. Or do jigsaw puzzles, or socialize. Everyone is left in their rooms. Obtaining a discharge is difficult - facility seems to want to keep you as long as possible, while providing minimal care.

The rooms are dirty. The Food is worse than prison slop - served cold. Everyone gets the same meal...no bottled water. Staff leaves resident unattended for hours in bed or chair not turning resident. Physical Therapy Not always given as prescribed. Do NOT admit Family member to this facility...If you do admit a family member,be prepared to stay 12 hrs plus per day to protect them & oversee their needs. STAFF can be heard in the hallway after midnight in a street- party manner insulting residents. DO NOT SIGN OR SHARE ANY PAPERS REGARDING Bank Records, Will, Power of Attorney,& do not leave any valuables... No documentation print out of specific medications given with time- stamp was made available when requested.

it was a nightmare; first and foremost and most important NO COMMUNICATION; the food wasn't that good, one day no utensils; had to fight to get her a shower and then the water was cold; no soap in soap dispenser; no change of date on bulletin board so my family member was always confused what day it was; the janitor would wake up patient at night to clean bathroom; and it goes on and on; no communication with staff until almost the last day; we had a meeting set up and it was cancelled and never had it; the last day, the patient signed forms to be released, and we had questions and waited for the nurse to come back with someone to address them and she never came back and we walked out with no instructions on where to go or what to do. So we wheeled her out by ourselves. Big thing is NO COMMUNICATION....no one was giving up names to contact people....

The care is deplorable. So many of the staff are contractors. I personally heard one staff member yelling at a patient. One contracted tech was terminated after we complained because she was too busy texting to take care of our family member. Completely unacceptable! Feces left in the toilet for two full days. When I pointed it out to a tech, the response was, "someone else will have to take care of it." Breakfast didn't reach my relative until 10:30. Lunch and dinner were hours late too. The food was awful anyway. Most people could be seen bringing in bags of takeout for their lived ones. It took two full days to get my relative's menu switched to diabetic, and the only real difference was the sugar free drink. Call bells went unanswered for up to 45 minutes. Bed/chair alarms were completely ignored. I found a bed bug on me after sitting in my relative's room for 45 minutes. The "therapy" was minimal and ineffective. First and only speech/swallowing evaluation was conducted the day of discharge! Speaking of the discharge, that was the first and only time we heard from the case manager. Never actually met the physician. If we didn't ask questions or seek out people, we got no information at all. So this patient, with no communicated goals, few evaluations, and having had minimal therapy (there was never any work on navigating steps, bed transfers, or tub transfers), was being discharged to go back home, living alone. Oddly enough, the discharge was communicated to us several hours after we told them they will be reported to the state (which we did). If you cherish your family, place them anywhere else.

My husband did rehab at ProMedica Total Rehab. He just got out on Saturday. The care is good. They were just in there all the time with him and they brought his medications on time. It was a nice place and it's a newer one. My husband said the food was good. They don't share the food with the people coming to visit though so I have not tried it. He was in a private room with one bed, a good-sized TV on the wall, and a good-sized bathroom.

My mother is in Powerback Rehabilitation. A neighbor recommended it, she's a nurse and it's by Genesis which is a big company and I've been really happy with it. They keep me informed on what's going on. They're getting her up, walking, making sure she eats all that kind of stuff, so I'm happy with them. You can't go in cause of Covid and I've never been inside but it looks nice outside. They got her up walking which is good. They always answered the phone. What I'd like about this place is you're assigned to like a team leader. The social worker, the physical therapist, everybody reports to the team leader, so even if I leave a message for a social worker and she doesn't get back to me, the team leader knows. So, I like the flow. And the team leader makes the bad situation into funny. She takes her job seriously but when you finish talking to her even if it's bad news you're not crying because she kinda mix it right. I can call her anytime about anything and she will call me back. I'm very impressed with them. They're on lockdown due to Covid, so they have to eat in the room. She goes down for physical therapy and I don't know how that worked out like if there are room or just physical therapy come up to her, but I know she made it up to 44 steps. Every day they go tell me, ''Oh she did these many steps.'' The nurse surgeon that saw her when she broke her neck doesn't take her insurance so he won't talk to me about anything like what mom's supposed to do, like arm exercises or whatever. She just talked to a physical therapist and I found out from the physical therapist that my mother can't have anything with buttons. She has this big brace on her neck and they don't want her looking down. I know some aide is like always available if she needs something. Mom likes the food there. Her insurance fix the whole thing up. She has Medicare and they fix the whole thing up.
