The Springs at Greer Gardens is a very nice facility. It sits on 14 acres. The facility is about 10 years old, I think. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. They have all of that. When we walked in, they greeted us. Everybody seemed happy. The gentleman who showed us around is the administrator, and he was very kind. He showed us a studio apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. They're just about the same size as most facilities. They're very nice. Obviously, it's older than the other place. It's not as bright, and it's kind of dark inside, but that's because of the construction. The grounds are gorgeous. They have a non-refundable $12500. It's for the upkeep of the grounds, and that is a deposit along with your first month's rent. There are people who live in independent living inside the facility, and then there are apartments for independent living. There are several dining rooms there, which I thought was nice. If you are living in independent or assisted living, you could go to any of the dining rooms. So, if you meet somebody and you want to have lunch or dinner with them, it doesn't matter, you could go wherever you want to. You weren't restricted in any way.

The Springs at Greer Gardens was a very nice place. I liked it. It's one of the newest as well. I have a friend that lives there, so I've visited there many times and joined him for supper or lunch or just a visit. It's a little expensive but what you're getting is a lot for the money you're paying. It is one of the nicest places I have ever seen.

The Springs at Greer Gardens is a lovely facility. I took a tour before the day that I was there for a book club meeting, so I saw what was available. I know that you get your meals downstairs. You are in your room by yourself, but if you needed help, you could call for it. Everyone was excellent. The dining area was lovely. When I was there for the book club meeting, we had a special room that about six or seven of us were in, but we passed the dining area as we went there. It's a lovely open space with different tables and excellent food. They had a pool and exercise classes. The grounds were lovely. It used to be a garden center.

I went to The Springs at Greer Gardens to see a friend of mine. It's very clean, very well kept up, and very modern. I go there for dinner once a week, and it is a nice place, but it's nothing that I could afford. It was very expensive. It's like over $6,000 a month. It's fairly new, so it's beautiful and looks very pleasant. The cottages are really cute and well-designed. They have a bar, a restaurant, a theater, and just about anything you'd want. It's well-equipped for those who can afford it. The food is OK. It's got a nice area to go for a walk. It's connected to the former Greer Garden, which is a rhododendron garden, so there are nice trails and walking areas. It's in a safe neighborhood. It's gated. One thing I don't like about it is the fact that they have a lot of waiters/servers that work hard, but the residents aren't allowed to tip them. If they tip them, it goes into one community jar and then they give out the total of the tips at Christmas. However, most of these kids that are working there are college students and they won't be around at Christmas. So, we thought it was unfair that they weren't allowed to tip the help, especially when they deserved it and needed some encouragement.

The Springs at Greer Gardens was like a resort. They had a little coffee bar, a snack bar, and outdoor seating. There's two different wings. Each had its own recreation rooms, dining rooms, rooms where you can go play cards, and other kinds of facilities. It's very nice. They even had a pool, a small gymnasium, and transportation available. We would go visit there and have lunch with my friend. The food was just excellent. The staff was very nice, too.
