My mother-in-law was at West View Healthy Living for several years. It's an attractive building. They've got a brand new wing that is state-of-the-art. They had lots of brand new apartments and some of them have never been lived in. They had meals, housekeeping, and so on. As far as the staff goes, they were friendly and nice. They had a hair salon, a movie theater, and lots of places where you could gather with friends. I think my mother-in-law had excellent care there. I've eaten there several times and they had good food. They also had lots of activities. She was a big Euchre player and she always had a game going. There's plenty to do and opportunities to socialize. It seemed like they were maybe a little overpriced. My mother-in-law was paying over $7000 a month and the other places I've looked at, so far, are much below what I'm looking for, which is a studio. She only had one room and the bed was off in one corner.

West View Healthy Living was a nice and clean community. As far as assisted living goes, it seemed like they offered quite a few amenities. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The lady gave me all the information I wanted. The rooms were small and slightly dated, but they were all very clean. They have in-house restaurant style dining, physical therapy, connected water therapy, a beauty parlor, and beautiful common spaces.

My grandfather was in assisted living until he passed away. He was always very happy with his care and the staff were always friendly. He enjoyed the food and the view of the courtyard from his room. I don't think he could have received better care at any other facility.

My mother is in West View Healthy Living and there are no problems. I call her on the phone all the time, I kinda stop by and have some meetings by the window. On the outside we can see in and talk on the phone that way, and that has worked out OK. We can also do Zoom meetings, but I haven't really done any of those. We haven't been allowed in the building for three months. I'm not really happy about that part, but they're doing what they can. They have a pretty big outbreak there but luckily my mom didn't get it. They had about 60 employees and 60 residents that all had COVID, so that's not good. There's a couple things that could've gone a little better, but it's mostly good.

In December of 2017, I spent 20 days in West View's nursing home while recovering from a diabetes related health issue. My room was adequate in size, with an HDTV and private bath. The staff, from the nurses and aides to the physical therapists were exceptional. They were professional and helpful, but also friendly and openly talkative. I very much enjoyed their company. I enjoyed the physical therapy, especially anything to do with a ball. :)

My mother is in West View Healthy Living and they're going to be discharging her this week. It's a wonderful place and I wish she could stay there. The staff members are all very good, very kind, and very knowledgeable. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The food has been very good. She has not had any complaints. She's a picky eater, so she doesn't always like everything, but they offer alternatives if she doesn't like what they're serving that day. Her room is big enough and she has a nice, big bathroom and a window. She has an individual thermostat so she can control the heat and air in her room, so that's a good thing. I would most definitely recommend them.

West View Healthy Living looks nice from the outside. It has a huge new addition on the one end that is very expensive. If you are not wealthy, you get a dinky room in the old section. They are short staffed and according to the staff they do have they are "underpaid and overworked". Be careful judging the future home of your loved one by what it looks like from the outside. Looks can be deceiving.

West View Healthy Living is a very nice facility on a hill. There are residential homes around, but the facility is on a well-elevated area, so the view is spectacular in the fall because you can see the farms and the countryside. They have a town area with little storefronts, shops, and an ice cream parlor. The rooms are of adequate size. They have a chapel. The overall atmosphere at this facility is lovely. They have a nice reception area and large communal area where they often have music.

West View is a fine place. Part of it is a brand-new facility, but some parts are older. They can look after people with serious dementia and Alzheimer's. It's just a nice location on a hill with a beautiful view. I've been in the rooms, and there's quite a variety. In some of them, there is a bedroom with a separate bathroom and a kitchenette. Others have a separate room for the bedroom and a small living room with a kitchenette where they have a fridge and maybe a microwave. They're reasonably sized. Five or six people we know had been in there and were treated well. The food is pretty good. I've been in their dining room several times, and you don't see people leaving the food, so it can't be too bad. They also have a bar where you can have ice cream or coffee outside the dining area. They have a cinema and a chapel with a resident minister there. They also have an exercise program. I've seen my friend doing exercise in a big room as a group; there might be 15 or 20 in the room who do that. Our group goes there every Tuesday for Bible study, and they're very generous in allowing us to use a conference room that's just adjacent to the dining room and providing us with coffee. The staff seems to be very nice.

My husband stayed at West View Healthy Living for a few weeks. It was good but there were some drawbacks, like the poor cellphone reception although the wi-fi connection was good in his room. The food was very good. I was very pleased that they let me eat lunch with my husband anytime. They were willing to accommodate me even if I didn't stay there. They were sensitive and overall, it was a pretty good experience.

We had dad in another facility awhile back for for about 6 months. It was an assisted living type and he hated it. I've always heard good things about West View Manor. We looked at different ones around and we're most comfortable with West View Manor. The facility is designed what they call a town square. When you walk in, it looks like a little town or a little village. They have theater, shops and things. It's a little more of a cheerful place compared to the other facility that he was in. It's a very clean place. He's in a transitional room waiting for a suite. The suites are gorgeous with big rooms and bathrooms. The people there are always so helpful and nice.

Right when you walked in the place, there was a small shopping center there for the patients. It felt very homey right away and it was extremely spacey. The multiple rec rooms and "play" areas were very nice to see in a place like that. They made me feel that they actually cared for the patients inside and seemed like very nice nurses. The living areas differed in size depending on the patients needs but all were still very roomy. Overall I would say the place was on the top of our list.
