The staff is amazing. Therapists are top notch. So happy I found Royal Oak for my husband. He had bacterial meningitis and he went from ICU to another place that did very little and I stayed with him 8 hours a day to monitor his care. Royal Oak is the first facility that I feel comfortable not staying all day. I know he is being taken good care of.

Rooms are clean and well furnished. Staff is amazing my sister had no complaints and said she enjoyed her stay there. The staff took good care of her which we are very grateful. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing Rehab or nursing care. Staff was very responsive. They would return calls promptly and kept me updated. Thank you staff at Royal Oaks!

Rude and disrespectful staff. Poor response to nurse call, administering medication, wound care and therapy. Very shady in the way they handle records to make them indicate care has been provided. Witnessed aids sleeping in chairs at nurses station. Shower area filthy and first 2 weeks my room was not cleaned but for trash being emptied. Very, very poor and lazy maintenance staff. Last 2 weeks of my stay had no heat in my room. Food was not bad.

My father is in Royal Oak Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center for rehab. The quality of care is fair. There are a few gems in the bunch, but I've had my challenges with them. It's skilled nursing and rehab. They have long-term services provided you could have long-term care, short-term rehab, long-term or permanent. They are improving and working with me because it's been a journey. Overall, it depends on the department. I've had my share of disappointments and challenges with them and getting them on board with being compliant and taking a person's condition seriously because my father has had several falls there. His room is decent. They have a therapy room where patients receive physical, occupational, and speech therapy. It's modest, to say the least, it's small, but the staff is well within their confines. The only activity that I've seen are that they have an exercise class every morning. They do it in the main dining area for people that want to participate because they do have a mixed population. The other activities I saw were sort of that corn toss, singalongs. That's all I've seen so far, I don't see much activity.

Overall I had a good stay, the staff were friendly, the food was good but the therapy was outstanding. I was able to get the rehabilitation I needed to get stronger and go home

My mom discharged to Royal Oak from the hospital. I was nervous at first because I couldn't tour but the staff kept in touch with me the whole time and let me know how she was progressing. I am very thankful to the therapy staff for helping her be able to walk and transfer safely again. She is now home and doing so much better than when she first came in.

The private rooms are nice, they have mounted TVs, new furniture and nice recliners, the therapy was the best pet for my mom! The food was pretty good but the staff were excellent!!

My mother was at Royal Oak after surgery. The facility was VERY clean (and COVID Free!), no foul odors. Nurses & Aids were knowledgeable and took care of mom's needs. Therapy was started quickly and it was tremendous how they treated her and really focused on what she needed to be able to do to go home- took or returned phone calls in a timely manner. Food was good and alternates were also offered. A big impression was how in touch the Administrator and Nurse Director was w/mom & family- never made us feel we were putting them out, answered our questions and calmed our anxiety. Thank You Royal Oak for the GREAT care and kindness- and mostly for helping my mom go HOME. We will return if ever a need.

Thought we would give this place a shot since they were recommended by the local hospital nearby. Big mistake. First day my father was in the facility, everyone was naturally helpful and accommodating for his needs. However, over the course throughout his week stay there, family, including myself, started to pick-up on rudeness and neglect from staff. There were two staff members that stood out but the rest...they should be ashamed of themselves. After pulling my dad out of there, his first words he muttered to me was, "Those girls tortured me there..." Need I say more? He also came out of there with a horrible bed sore which was NEVER there! Prior hospitalization records even have that for evidence prior to coming to Royal Oaks. I wish I would have read up on reviews before agreeing to sending my dad there. Nurse Kathy does not deserve those credentials.

Physical Therapist and most Aides are fine, but problems with the nursing staff and administrators make this facility a 2 star at best. My mom ended up so dehydrated it made it appear she had severe dementia, had deep tissue injury due to they wouldn't let her sit in anything other then her wheelchair, and many, many other issues. I ended up taking her out before her Medicare rehab was up, we finished rehab at home. After getting her re-hydrated after just 3 days at home, she started behaving and talking normal, and even got up and walked normal (with her walker).

I was at Royal Oak for 13 days doing post op rehab after serious spinal surgery. My individual room was comfortable and kept clean daily. Interactions with nurses and staff were always civil and friendly. The food prep overseen by dietary staff was more than palatable. Activities from trivia to religious fulfillment were there if sought. In short-what I sought I received and was thankful. We get what we give...

Dirty, patients are everywhere. Staff has no idea who anyone is or where they are. Nurses sit behind desk and are not helpful at all. Staff sit behind desk and talk to each other all day. They act as if they don't need to be bothered. Staff acts like you are bothering them when you ask a question. They do not care for the patients. Horrible place. I do not recommend. I wouldn't put my worst enemy there.

She has to stay in Royal Oak Nursing & Rehab Center right now. The food is terrible, but the people are nice. The rooms are small. They have an activity room where they color, make puzzles, read, and do whatever they want to do.

My dad was a resident at Royal Oak for almost 3 months. I have had experiences with other nursing homes in the past but this one by far was the best. The therapy staff was amazing and had my dad walking and back to his old self. The nursing staff was great and really made us all feel like family. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for great care in a beautiful facility.

Residents are treated like they don't exist. Aides do not follow orders and certain nurses do no tell you anything. My Mom was a resident for 5 months. I was there everyday. The way they treated these elderly people was terrible. My Mom was supposed to come home but she passed away on May 19. I still think something went wrong between the nurses and aides. I have never gotten a call from them. What does that mean to you. She was my BFF. My whole family thinks something happened. This is one nursing home you should forget about.
