Nursing Home Communities in Longview, WA

"I have a family member staying at this facility. Living in another state makes contact intermittent but I call a few times a week. I am not able to get through often as there is only one resident line and it is kept by the residents, some of whom dont have clear mental faculties. This could be forgivable if there weren't these other issues. My family member does not get a shower more than 1 time every 2 weeks. they do not keep contact with the Dr's assigned to the people there. The physical therapy is available but the people working here dont really push the patients to participate. Very limited resources like internet and phone privileges. At over $9000 per month you would expect a decent level of care. Most of the people here seem to be just there for the paycheck and sadly I expect it is not much for those who interact with the patients. We are currently trying to move our family member to better facility closer to other family members. My suggestion to others is DO YOUR RESEARCH. See the place, talk to workers, talk to families of those staying at the place. Good luck. "

"First of all i love & appreciate everyone there, from the housekeepers, laundry, the aides', nursing staff, the cooks, kitchen staff, the management & EVERYONE one in between, in my opinion, they all have a part in keeping residents safe, healthy & happy. They are all open & approachable if you have any complaints or worries & also regularly scheduled 'Care Conference Meetings ' that you & your loved one can discuss any & everything. I also LOVE the residents there, i feel like & have been told by them that i'm family. My moms favorite activities are Bingo & The Gift Shop Cart. Before Covid, i was able to go & enjoy lots of wonderful activities that they were able to offer, like Musicians, Book Club, Crafts, Monthly Birthday Parties, Monthly Family Meals, Outtings. I had a big wonderful birthday party for my mom last year, it was so fun, I always feel welcome, ive met lots of wonderful people there, residents as well as employees that i consider friends, on that note, im very happy & proud of how healthy & safe they've kept everyone. My moms room is kept clean, as well as the rest of the facility. Its not perfect, but nowhere is. I feel that they do a great job and you have to take some responsibility & be proactive, if you or your loved one sees or experiences something negatively, you need to bring it to their attention. My mom has been a resident there for 14 years & she has made some wonderful friends with other residents & employees as well."

"I went to the Villager Inn Retirement Center. I went through the rooms, and there weren't a lot of people there sitting out. I wanted Mom closer to me instead of driving to Castle Rock. The cleanliness was very nice, I saw the menu, but did not taste the food. The staff was very nice, answered all my questions, and I went to school with her uncle."

"Woodland Care Center was clean. The rooms that they offer were very small. That's the only thing that deterred me from going there. The food was OK. Everyone was very cordial and very polite. The staff who showed us around was very informative. She was good. She explained everything well."

"Spring Meadows is a very nice facility. The staff is very kind. They're very willing to help you and the food is good here. It's like home living. I'm not able to partake in a lot of the activities, but they have a lot of things for the ones that are here and they all enjoy it. They have a lot of activities in the dining room. They also have a library and an activity room where there are puzzles, books, and all kinds of things like that. My room is a studio apartment. It's very cheerful. When I look out the window, it's very nice. It has flowers."

"The staff has been professional and caring to my dad that is staying for his rehabilitation care and my mom that goes to see him. All the staff does a exceptional job I know my dad and my mom are going to miss everyone once he gets released Thanking Them All. My parents Truely Love You All"
