"Everybody is really nice, and my dad is really comfortable at Northgate, so that helps. I’m most impressed probably with the way they care for the people. My dad had a couple of falls, which is to be expected because he has dementia, so he forgets to ring his bell to go the bathroom. We haven't had any problems with the care so far. "

Their counsel (along with hospice care) was thoughtful, and always had Dad's needs in mind. They really cared. We researched and wrestled with which facility my Dad should go to. We were more than satisfied with Schofield and would recommend for anyone in hospice care."

"My mother had rehab at McAuley Residence. They took very good care of her, and there was no problem. They were very attentive to her and checked in on her in her room which she shared with another woman. They door was kept open of course, and there was somebody who was poking their head in there every 15 minutes. The only thing I wished they would have had were bed alarms, but they're not allowed to have those in rehab. They also have a senior care, like a nursing home upstairs, and there they can use the alarm, but in rehab it's considered constraining a patient. However, they would make sure she came out in the dining room for all her meals, and she had physical therapy twice a day. They took excellent care of her. "

"At the Sheridan Manor the staff is very friendly. They handle the elderly with care and love. They do many fun activities with them, such as arts and crafts and casino night. They have great flexible visiting hours. The patients are aloud to leave with their families without any problems. Overall I believe it is one of the best facilities in the area. I have heard many complaints from other places, but none from the Sheridan Manor. My grandfather really seems to enjoy it there. Every time i visit him he always has a great story about his stay. He has made friends with other residents and the great staff. I would definitely recommend The Sheridan Manor to anybody in the Buffalo area. "

"I went there at Weinberg Campus. I have seen some activities like somebody painting and crafts. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable. The rooms were a little smaller, and there is no kitchenette. It is just a two-room that is smaller than what I got now. There are too many residents in one place, and I like the smaller one better. They have a lot of residents, and they have three or four dining rooms which is more confusing for an older person. "

"My grandmother and her significant other have been at Elderwood for approximately one year. The rooms are fairly small but offer convenience so you would not have much to move around. When walking into the room is the kitchen and living area together. Her bedroom appears to be bigger than her living area and the bathroom is connected off the bedroom. I have gone to eat meals with the m while at the facility. The servers in dining room know all the residents names and their preference for drinks. They are polite and courteous. The person that drives them to their appointments is very vibrant and personable. She also knows the residents names and you can tell she cares for everyone. On one occasion, my grandmother's significant other had a hard time with shopping. The driver made sure that she notified the nurses upon return. The facility then sent out two nurses to check on him and ensure he was well. The food that is served is okay and lists many choices as well as special. The menu, however, does not seem to change much. The facility is well kept and clean. It offers a walking trail with a small pond.The landscaping surrounding the building is well kept and very presentable. My grandmother enjoys staying there and does not have complaints either. "

"Beechwood Continuing Care was very good. I thought that they took good care of my wife. The staffing ratio was very good. Every day they gave her lunch and the food was always hot and wholesome. They had physical therapists and occupational therapists come in and see her. So, she was well taken care of. I was very happy with the situation and the laundry was done once a week. So, it was very good. Their staff was very knowledgeable. In the unit that she was in, there were 10 people. There was a nurse and an aide (besides the physical therapist, the occupational speech therapist, and the nurse). They had people coming in and singing songs for them. They were kicking the balls to get their physical activity done and there was also a television. I was pretty happy with the whole thing. They were very interested in my wife. The place was clean and they had the option of single rooms or double rooms, which I thought was nice."

"Hawthorn Health Multicare Center is phenomenal! Everybody there are nice and polite. And I just talked to their physical therapist, they are always positive about everything! Pushing always their patients for the better. And they don’t let their patients dine in their own room. They encourage their residents to dine in the hall to socialize, get to know other and interact. And that is something my grand-dad needs. Very nice place and very nice people! "

"I think that my relative has a nice room equipped with a bed and closet. He shares his room with another patient,. The staff at Humboldt House really care about the patients who reside at the Humboldt House. My relative raves about the food. He also gets to watch some of favorite TV shows. He also partakes of the various activities that are available to the patients. There is a Gazebo outside that I can meet my relative and converse with him during the spring and summer. In closing I am greatly disappointed by the low reviews I have read. They are inaccurate in my opinion and false. "

"My husband moved into Terrace View. He was here before for rehab, and there are many people that my family knows. He's doing as best as he can daily. The staff does a lot of work, but they do it well. He's eating now, and he eats just about everything. The place is good. They have things downstairs at least three times a week. They have something down there, whether it's a church thing or a musical thing, or a talking thing, or all kinds of things that they have."
