"My brother is in Providence Assisted Living. It is nice, but the carpets need to be re-done because there are some stains. The rooms are large. They have windows in them. You can also control the thermostat in each room. The staff is adequate. They do his laundry, they dispense his medicine, and they check his blood pressure and blood sugar. They have an LPN at all times. The food is good; it's an appropriate diet. They have Bingo, physical therapy exercises appropriate, and other activities and games."

"We visited Winona Manor and it looked really nice and fine. They have a nice, beautiful porch out front to sit out for the patients. My mom in law will be staying there 90 days for rehab. The room is good but she may not like the shared bathroom. We can go in and decorate her room with what she wants and we're welcome to bring in whatever we need. It was clean and I didn't notice any smell or anything. The staff seemed really nice and they wanted to work with us. They knew everyone by their name. They have a calendar of activities for the month. It was more than what I imagined it could be. I think she will be fine there for 90 days. "

"Golden Age Nursing Home is the only nursing home I've visited. I love this nursing home because this place made my grandmother feel like she was at home. The staff was very friendly although we knew majority of the people there before my grandmother came to stay, they were still very professional. The overall facility is neat and clean. All of the residents there seem very happy and content. I must admit at first me and my family were very concerned about putting our grandmother in a nursing home, but when we came to visit we could see that she was happier being around people her own age. Her room was always clean and they feed the residents healthy foods and they have lots of activities for them which is always great. I never heard one complaint from a resident unless they were in pain and the nurses immediately respond and provide prompt care and concern. They talk to there patients as if they were talking to their own relative. This is a great nursing home for a loved one or any elderly person who needs the love and attention from someone. "

"My Grandmother lived at Vaiden Community Living Center. She was the very first patient at this facility once it was built and it was awful. She suffered from Alzheimer's and they did not take tentative care of her. They should have turned her over on a regular basis, but instead they allowed her to stay in one spot and she then had a bed sore on her back that took months to heal. She had to go to another facility for treatment five times a week. They did not clip her toe nails and did not give her a daily bath. There were many run ins with the way the staff treated her. My Auntie had to constantly go down there on them because of this unfair treatment. She filed multiple complaints, which led to the head director over the facility being fired. I was very disappointed with this facility and the way they treated the elderly or those with ailments. My Grandmother has since passed peacefully, and I believe it was one of the best things to come for her since her time at the Vaiden Community Living Center. My Grandmother was constantly in the hospital for "something" almost every occasion you blinked. It's ridiculous that you place your trust of your loved ones into some institution's hands and they slap you in the face. "
