"My mother was a resident of the Overlook for 4 years, starting out in Assistive Living, and then moved to Skilled Nursing. The care she got was exceptional. I would have never wanted her any where else. My mother was extremely happy her entire stay. I am so thankful to the staff on the 3rd floor. "

"The Overlook wasn’t as new as the other facility I visited, but it did have the advantage of being able to go from assisted living to nursing care. It is all in one facility, so that’s good. The rooms were of a good size and could be set up however you wanted to set them up, which I thought was a good thing. They have patios, which was also good. The staff was very nice. They have lots of things that you can do, like visiting the library and playing games. "

"My wife is in the Life Care Center of Auburn for rehabilitation. She has a broken pelvis, so all they can do is work on building her upper strength until that time when she can get back on her feet. Her living space is clean and more than adequate. They are very friendly, very clean, and very attentive. I'd say they're exemplary. The food ranges from very good to fair depending on what they're making."

"Our situation is through the PACE program. It does cost a lot of money, so thank God we qualified for this. This place has many different things like rehab, it's a long term nursing home for some, and there is a dementia part. My wife has Alzheimer's. The food is wonderful there at Radius Healthcare. It is all homemade food, and they don't buy it canned. It is healthy food. It is a very good place. The security of the place is very good. I am happy with it as much as you can be happy for a situation as this. "

"My dad is at Brookside Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. I'm very happy with the place. It's a very good place. I recommend them. They have activities there. It used to be more because of COVID. Things got back a bit. They haven't gotten back to the way they used to be, but I am sure every place is dealing with that. They have a very caring staff there. He has been there for five years now. It's an older building, so it could use some upgrades. I have eaten there, and they are very accommodating. He is content there."

"My mom has been in Webster Manor for a month and things have been going along OK, so I do not have any complaints at this point. They have nurses and nurses’ aides on the floor, and they seem to take care of the residents. There seem to be a lot of other loved ones that come and visit their family members, and the staff is very friendly and answers any questions that we have. I don’t really have any complaints other than the fact it is an old building, and I'd like it all to be nice and new, but it isn’t. It’s clean, there aren’t any odors, and they take care of the clients. "

"If you visit Grandpa in the evenings, he frequently had food on his clothing from lunch time. His nails and hair were also unkempt. I liked the people he ate dinner with, seeing them every night brought routine to Grandpa. His favorite nurse cared so much that he actually came to the funeral. It seemed like the afternoons were spent, as a group, in front of the television. I find that is better than being cooped up in his room, but not necessarily as interactive as it could have been. I really liked that they decorated for the seasons. Many of the patients didn't have visitors, so it was really nice for them to see seasonal change. There are a lot of windows, and the staff let us put a bird feeder in front of the window for Grandpa's room. They also let us put a small Christmas tree in his room, which Grandpa loved. The location was convenient for where I live, and they specialized in Alzheimer's care, that's the main reason we moved Grandpa there. "

"Homestead Hall is a one-level facility. Everything is on the first floor. Everything is there, the rooms, activity rooms, kitchen, and dining room. It's very convenient and very small, and that's what my friend liked. It surprised me where it was. I would have never known unless I had to go and look at it. It's surrounded by a neighborhood that you would never know was there. It's a very quiet neighborhood, and the ground is very nicely kept. It's perfect, very clean, and tidy. We were impressed."

"The rooms are good size....not huge but bigger than other places. The staff is pleasant and friendly and they have smiles on their faces that show they are happy working here. They are very compassionate and caring and they all work together with the family as a team! The Administrator is so friendly and if you have a problem she and everyone involved will work together to rectify the situation! Stop by her office to say hello....she loves that and you will be happy you did! The Admissions director is very personable and will make your experience at St. Mary very pleasant! She will be your long lasting friend as will everyone! St. Mary Health Care Center is a super clean facility. The floors, restrooms, etc are sparkling. Kudos to housekeeping....thank you for keeping the facility smelling fresh! I have my dad and my mother in law in this facility and I could not be happier. They are also happy being at St. Mary's. They really enjoy playing Bingo and listening to the musicians that come in from time to time. The facility is located in the heart of Worcester MA and is up on a hill and somewhat secluded and very safe! They have a brand new park that the facility has access to through a locked gate from their parking lot that the residents can enjoy in the nice weather. It's really beautiful! They have a beautiful sunroom off the dining room and a private patio off the sunroom with benches, tables and umbrellas....in the nicer weather of course. So before you make any decision on where to place your loved one please check out St. Mary's...go for a visit...you won't be dissapointed! "

"My husband moved into the Blaire House of Worcester under the memory care unit. The care they give is excellent. They care about the residents. The place looks a little rough, but it will be updated eventually. They do a great job. They do everything according to the state laws, as they're supposed to. So, I always know what's happening, or if they need something, they'll call me. They're good at communicating. They have two choices for each meal. It's not like a focus point, but they ensure people eat. They do crafts, depending on the level of dementia of the person. They always have music. They have religious people come in and do little services, and they have arts and crafts. They have more word searches and trivia stuff, but I don't think many people can do that. They're like old hospital beds. Right now, they have rooms with one to four people, but it will only be one or two people per room when they renovate it. They got a sink in there and lockers for their stuff."

"My husband has been at Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center for two weeks now. It's a typical rehab. He gets decent care during the day and horrible care when the shifts change, and they're short-staffed. The people that work the dayshift are pretty good, but once the 3:00 to 11:00 and the 11:00 to 7:00 come on, it's like they don't care. His room is very nice and clean. It's got a TV in there, but very limited channels. The place has been kind of redone not too long ago, so overall, its appearance is very nice. He doesn't go to the dining area. He eats in his room, and half the time he doesn't eat it. The food is subpar. They could improve on communication. I have to talk to the social worker all the time, and she has to intervene with all the issues. Overall, the staff that cares for the residents needs to be giving them the time that's due to them, not "slam-bam, thank you, ma'am, out of the room." They don't allot the time. They just run in, run out. They don't answer the call buttons. We just addressed this situation this morning with the social worker there. The first couple of days when he was there, he was upset because there were a couple of people that came in to work on him and they were standing over him, speaking in a foreign language at each other and laughing. He said, "How do I know if they're not laughing at me?" That happened a couple of times when people were on their telephones, speaking in a foreign language. We addressed it with the social worker and she said she was going to take care of it because that's against their policy to speak in front of a patient like that. We've had three separate occasions where I've had to address things, but this happens in every single facility he's ever been to. They don't care."

"They are very attentive at Jewish Healthcare Center. My mother-in-law is an in-patient right now, and she is receiving rehab care. They help her with everything that she needs, and she is very comfortable. Sanitation is excellent. The food is very good. The rooms are spacious. She is in a private room. "

"My dad is at Saint Francis Nursing Center. I think he's going into long-term care. Because he was in the hospital, they placed him where they could take him where they had a bed. We knew that this was a good nursing home, but he did get placed there because they have an opening. The staff seemed very nice. We haven't been able to go into the facility; we've only been outside so far. The people that work there are very kind, very helpful and very responsive."

"The sub acute rooms are newly renovated with plenty of room for all of the family/friends to visit at once. They provided a bed to sleep in when it was necessary for us to stay overnight. Staff was accommodating and kind even when Mom was a bit challenging. The rehab staff was amazing, loving and caring. Moving Mom to Christopher House was a great decision during a most difficult time in all our lives. "

"We did get a tour of Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehab. The staff is very helpful, they answered our questions, everyone looked very pleasant, and they all spoke with us, so we were impressed. The rooms were very nice, very bright, and the sun would come in. She would have a dresser, closet space, and a bathroom. One of the other things I like was an outside area. In the summer, they would have live bands come in, so I think that's something my mother would enjoy. We didn't see regular dining room, but we saw one that's kind of a private area where you can go on order off a menu. This is probably our first choice for my mother. "
