"My mother was a resident of the Overlook for 4 years, starting out in Assistive Living, and then moved to Skilled Nursing. The care she got was exceptional. I would have never wanted her any where else. My mother was extremely happy her entire stay. I am so thankful to the staff on the 3rd floor. "

"We went to see The Overlook in Charlton and toured their independent living. It was very pleasant. The people there were very cordial, and I liked their attitude. They said it's like living on a cruise boat, but you don't have to go on the cruise. The person who assisted us was very professional and gave us a couple of people to tour us around. Somebody from assisted living came and accompanied us to lunch, and then another one told us about their exercise program. The food was very good, and we thought it was restaurant quality. One of the things that also struck us was that we liked having linen tablecloths, and the dining room has that. The facility seemed very clean, although something was being redone in the exercise room, so it was kind of dusty. They apologized for the fact that it was being done, but we still went to see it."

"My father was recently admitted to Life Care of Auburn after knee replacement surgery. His stay lasted three weeks. I was very pleased with his care. I could not say a bad word about any of the staff. They were kind, helpful, professional and upbeat. The compassion they showed my father was very comforting to me. The room was very clean. They had activities for the patients that felt well enough to participate. I was invited to attend bedside meetings and his discharge meeting when his release was decided. I would definitely use their facility again should a family member need care. I also highly recommend them to anyone in our community that would need assistance. Thank you."

"Our situation is through the PACE program. It does cost a lot of money, so thank God we qualified for this. This place has many different things like rehab, it's a long term nursing home for some, and there is a dementia part. My wife has Alzheimer's. The food is wonderful there at Radius Healthcare. It is all homemade food, and they don't buy it canned. It is healthy food. It is a very good place. The security of the place is very good. I am happy with it as much as you can be happy for a situation as this. "

"My dad is at Brookside Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. I'm very happy with the place. It's a very good place. I recommend them. They have activities there. It used to be more because of COVID. Things got back a bit. They haven't gotten back to the way they used to be, but I am sure every place is dealing with that. They have a very caring staff there. He has been there for five years now. It's an older building, so it could use some upgrades. I have eaten there, and they are very accommodating. He is content there."

"My mom has been in Webster Manor for a month and things have been going along OK, so I do not have any complaints at this point. They have nurses and nurses’ aides on the floor, and they seem to take care of the residents. There seem to be a lot of other loved ones that come and visit their family members, and the staff is very friendly and answers any questions that we have. I don’t really have any complaints other than the fact it is an old building, and I'd like it all to be nice and new, but it isn’t. It’s clean, there aren’t any odors, and they take care of the clients. "

"The Alzheimer's unit at this facility is designed very thoughtfully to create an environment to help ease the anxiety of the residents. The exits are disguised to relieve the feeling of being trapped and the decor is warm and "homey" rather than stark and depressing like a hospital. The unit includes several different rooms that allow for different activities and comfortable environments to sit and visit with residents. There are also private rooms that were available for special occasions or sensitive situations. I specifically enjoyed the outdoor courtyard that was completely enclosed within the unit so residents to could enjoy the fresh air whenever they choose. The staff members are warm, compassionate, patient, and gentle people. I believe they genuinely cared for my grandmother and did everything they could to make her comfortable and relaxed. My family and I were so grateful for all they did during a very difficult and emotional time. "

"My mother in law is currently a resident here and she is taken wonderful care of. She raves about the food and how nice everyone is, all staff. When I visit she looks well groomed, happy considering her illness. The facility is kept very clean. With the COVID upon us St. Mary's has taken extreme measures to see the the residents are all safe. I would recommend this facility to people. :)"

"My husband moved into the Blaire House of Worcester under the memory care unit. The care they give is excellent. They care about the residents. The place looks a little rough, but it will be updated eventually. They do a great job. They do everything according to the state laws, as they're supposed to. So, I always know what's happening, or if they need something, they'll call me. They're good at communicating. They have two choices for each meal. It's not like a focus point, but they ensure people eat. They do crafts, depending on the level of dementia of the person. They always have music. They have religious people come in and do little services, and they have arts and crafts. They have more word searches and trivia stuff, but I don't think many people can do that. They're like old hospital beds. Right now, they have rooms with one to four people, but it will only be one or two people per room when they renovate it. They got a sink in there and lockers for their stuff."

"My husband has been at Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center for two weeks now. It's a typical rehab. He gets decent care during the day and horrible care when the shifts change, and they're short-staffed. The people that work the dayshift are pretty good, but once the 3:00 to 11:00 and the 11:00 to 7:00 come on, it's like they don't care. His room is very nice and clean. It's got a TV in there, but very limited channels. The place has been kind of redone not too long ago, so overall, its appearance is very nice. He doesn't go to the dining area. He eats in his room, and half the time he doesn't eat it. The food is subpar. They could improve on communication. I have to talk to the social worker all the time, and she has to intervene with all the issues. Overall, the staff that cares for the residents needs to be giving them the time that's due to them, not "slam-bam, thank you, ma'am, out of the room." They don't allot the time. They just run in, run out. They don't answer the call buttons. We just addressed this situation this morning with the social worker there. The first couple of days when he was there, he was upset because there were a couple of people that came in to work on him and they were standing over him, speaking in a foreign language at each other and laughing. He said, "How do I know if they're not laughing at me?" That happened a couple of times when people were on their telephones, speaking in a foreign language. We addressed it with the social worker and she said she was going to take care of it because that's against their policy to speak in front of a patient like that. We've had three separate occasions where I've had to address things, but this happens in every single facility he's ever been to. They don't care."

"I broke my foot and ankle in a very bad way i was in rehab for a long while. The physical therapists were amazing,as were the people who helped me with paperwork and the people who gave me my meds top notch. I wish i had all of of their names . But my prime therapist was Bonnie she was awesome and very knowledgeable about her profession and very easy to talk to and ask questions.Because of Bonnie and the other therapists and staff I am doing great hats off, a job well done. "Saint Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a very nice place and it's clean. I like the staff and it seems to be working out very well. My mother has been here for a couple of weeks now. She has severe dementia, and she can't do anything for herself. There's every level of therapy in there, evaluating her medically and mentally to make sure she gets the absolute best care. Her room is bright and clean. She has a window right near her. Most of the rooms on that floor have a window right near the bed, so they're bright. They have a nice day area with a big television. It's just a nice place. The staff is wonderful, very helpful, and very caring."

"My 99 year old Dad resided there for 3 months after rehab. He had great care and treatment from the wonderful staff in the Putnam ward. He was attended to in his bathing and was helped in the dining room with feedings. The excellent staff would sing to him, and even speak French with him. When he passed some of the staff came in with a final prayer, kiss and some even wept. I can’t say enough about how wonderful and caring he was treated during this time. Thank you"

"We did get a tour of Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehab. The staff is very helpful, they answered our questions, everyone looked very pleasant, and they all spoke with us, so we were impressed. The rooms were very nice, very bright, and the sun would come in. She would have a dresser, closet space, and a bathroom. One of the other things I like was an outside area. In the summer, they would have live bands come in, so I think that's something my mother would enjoy. We didn't see regular dining room, but we saw one that's kind of a private area where you can go on order off a menu. This is probably our first choice for my mother. "
