My mom was a resident of CareOne at Millbury. She was there for rehab because she was very weak. They got her up, walking, and got her legs stronger before she was able to come home. She seemed to be in the nursing home area. There were times where it seemed like there were plenty of staff when I went to visit, and other times it was like nobody in sight. They did mention that they had activities, but at that time they had some residents that were positive for COVID. So, they were pretty much keeping everybody in their rooms and testing everybody every day. It was kind of out of the ordinary scheduling because of that. I did not try the food, but when I went there and my mom was eating, she seemed to enjoy it. The staff seemed very nice. The physical therapy people were really nice; they really worked with her and explained everything to me. So, I had no questions whatsoever. I think they did the best they could with the staffing that they had. The facility was very nice and clean. Her insurance paid, so I don't know how much it was. From what I understand, they were like an average cost.

Hello, I am writing to express my concerns and disappointment with your establishment. I am a family member of a patient placed at your facility, who is horrified by the actions and behavior of “director of rehab.” I was witness to your DOR cutting down your staff in front of patients, swearing, and overall bring a lack of professionalism and compassion to your rehab. If the staff is being treated this way, you can understand my concern for my family member and for the other patients at your facility. Luckily my family member has finished their stay. I will be making sure that anyone who asks about my family members stay at care-one will know how awful the person you have place in charge is. I write this as a favor to your company, to make changes that insure your staff and patients are receiving the quality care you claim in your mission statement.

My mother started off in the rehab section at CareOne at Millbury and they moved her to full service, 24-hour care. We were only allowed outside visits. We were not able to go inside the facility to really check out if the facility was clean because everything was shut down. I had a great time with the staff that we talked to. We were able to have phone conversations with the head nurse, the doctor, and the administration. We had some face-to-face time when we were able to visit her outdoors with some of the staff. They were very polite. I really can't see the inside of the place. We were not allowed inside the premises because of the virus.

The staff are caring and the facility is clean. The problem my family had was with Dr. Kim, the in house doctor. My father was there this past winter and dying with the VNA hospice services. Just about every suggestion the nurse made for medications to take away the pain was refused by the doctor. She would not listen to the VNA nurse, my father's nurses or us. He was seeing things, couldn't sleep, in horrible pain from the cancer. You don't want to send your loved one here to die or they will suffer like my dad did. The VNA was great and we could tell they were frustrated by this doctor but there was nothing they could do. This woman needs to be a doctor for patients who don't have any pain. We made friends with another family going through the same situation with their mother. She too didn't get enough pain medication. She would cry and beg her family to take her home. They said Dr. Kim told them that she didn't think you could ever take away all the pain and some people just had to suffer when they died. I asked our hospice nurse about this and I could tell by the way she looked at me that she was furious. If Care One can't hire a doctor who understands how to keep people comfortable when they die, then they should only take patients who are going to live.

What a wonderful place this is. Everyone is so attentive. The staff always calls you by name. The PT and OT is top notch and the therapists know how to push you without being pushy. The food is excellent. I would definitely come here again if needed.

My mother was sent to careone to rehab after she left the hospital. She then was told she needed long term care. I was so glad they had a bed for her the rns lpns cna they were all so great very easy to talk to right down to everyone in the offices. They took good care pf my mother who was 90 years old. She had a lot of pain and passed away a week ago. but I would not of wanted her anywhere else.
