"My mom moved into Aviston Countryside Manor. The facility is very clean. They have very friendly staff and very good food. I go into the dining room with my mom frequently, and she compliments the food. The dining room is very nice. There are tables where probably about eight people can sit together. The aides serve them their food. They have regular cloth napkins and plates. It's a very nice facility. Their staff had been very helpful to my mother. They are good about coming in, checking on her, and helping her whenever she rings for them. They are nurses and CNAs. They have a very nice activity director. She sometimes helps out in the dining room if they're really busy, and she's very friendly."

"My mother is a resident of Faith Countryside Homes. It has assisted living, nursing home, and memory care, and she's in the memory section. It's all there kind of together, the assisted living is on one side, the nursing home is on the other, and then the memory unit is a smaller section of that nursing home. Because of COVID, there's no way to get in, but it seems very nice. I've had several people tell me that they've heard good things about it, that's why I chose to go there. I could go around to the window and call Mom on the phone and talk to her, but I couldn't go inside because of COVID. They had a couple issues where people had come in and then gotten sick, so they decided to keep people out for the time being. They're now doing a structured kind of visit where they let them in to a special room where they've got a divider, so that they can sit and talk with family members, but they can't breathe on them or anything. I've had a lot of good interaction with the staff, especially the head nurses, and they've been very helpful and very conscientious about the care of my mom. It was important to choose this one because the other places were memory units but they were not skilled, and that's what people don't ever tell you. Mom needed skilled nurses to help her, and the other places only got one person, and they don't have enough to help her get up and walk. She needed help learning how to walk and all that. It looks clean and nice, and it's better than a lot of the places in the area. Mom is kind of picky and I told them that she likes mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits and gravy, and things like that, and they've actually been trying to make her what she likes to help her gain her weight back. There's a lot of places that won't even bother to do that."

"The rooms of Highland Health Care are good. My parents-in-law are both in the same room with two beds and plenty of room for their personal stuff. We’ve only been up there once, and it has been good. They have bingo, crafts, and plenty of stuff to keep them busy. The in-laws participate, so it’s good for them. From the feedback that we get from family members and our parents, I’d give them a 4. We wanted to put them somewhere where they could stay together, and that is what they provided. It has been great. If I need anything, I call, and they are right on top of it. "

"The rooms were very spacious clean and plenty of room for personal things. Everyone from the front desk to the memory lane section were the best I have ever meet During my moms stay she was cared for personally by all of them. They took such good care of her I never worried about her The workers became very good friends to me and my sister. We still go back to visit them. Also they did all kind of activities for the patients which they all enjoyed"

"They helped my Aunt with her rehabilitation after she suffered several strokes. She was unable to safely walk around. She worked with their physical therapist for a while. The facility was clean, some of the staff were friendly. There were a lot of residents. My aunt shared a room with another lady. I really did not like that there was no privacy. I think some of the staff could care a little bit more and do more activities with the residents. However, it was a decent place, but will not send her back to there. "

"Four Fountains was a nice facility. It's clean. Some of the residents were sitting around, but they have activities. They have an activity sheet posted where they have different activities that they offer to the residents. Some of the rooms were better than others, but all of them were clean. Some of them need improvement, but they are doing some improvement. The staff was very cooperative. "

"Overall, this was one of the better nursing homes in the area. The staff was always very friendly with both the patients and the visitors. The rooms were pretty big as far as nursing home rooms go. They had a large common room that the patients could use to watch tv, read and they even had board games. I also saw signs posted about acitivites that were going on throughout the week. The food seemed decent, as fasr as I could tell at least. This was by far the cleanest facility I have ever been to also. The only negative thing I have to say about this facility was that they seemed to understaffed so when my grandma needed something, sometimes she had to wait a long time to receive it. "

"I transferred my aunt to Bria of Belleville, but she did not like the food. I did not have any problems with the smell. I noticed the cleaning staff was walking the place every day spraying air freshener, and I thought that was really a good idea. "

"The staff were nice and friendly at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab. It's a nice facility. The rooms were small, but they were clean. Their residents looked wonderful. "

"My dad moved into Willow Creek Rehab & Nursing. They are very helpful with completing the paperwork for Medicare. The staff is friendly. However, it doesn't seem like they have enough staff. They have a medical support team, so the rehab team is good. I noticed their dayroom where everybody was watching TV. They sit around and enjoy each other's company. The rooms are very plain, so you'll have to bring your own TV. There's only the bed and nightstand. There was no courtyard, and that's another thing that I wasn't completely happy with. Two abandoned buildings were sitting next to it."

"The place is quite clean and friendly. My friends had a great experience. The units (duplexes) stayed clean, and they enjoyed using the exercise room. They also enjoyed their experience with the other residents. One friend volunteered at the reception desk answering calls and directing deliveries. The location also gave them access to many nature trails and the main shopping centers. The layout was gorgeous and the units big and modern. Most importantly, they enjoyed their freedom. Aside from cleaning and services, the staff was friendly and not intrusive, which meant that my friends could live there as if it where their own home. No hassles, no intrusions, just comfortable living. The rent was a bit high, ut with services like that who can complain? Over all, a great experience and highly recommended for those who want a relaxed retirement with great amenities while still retaining the freedom to live life. "

"My great grandmother was in an assisted living facility for several years and I visited her many times during that period. The staff was very courteous and attentive. They took the time to get to know each and every person in the facility and attempted to suit daily activities to each person's needs as well as their likes and dislikes in order to provide a more comfortable experience. The d̩cor in the facility was drab and dull. The walls were off white and the rest of the place was brown which lead to a very boring effect. I thought the facility and its members would benefit from having more color and livelihood, perhaps more plants. The amenities provided for each person was excellent. Members were able to receive cable television in their rooms, if they so desired. Also, the facility had weekly games/activities for people to participate in, if they could. Most importantly, all members were receiving the proper level of care and medication necessary for them. Overall, my impression of this facility was quite good. The staff was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, which lead to a pleasant experience for me and for the facility's members. "

"I can say that Dammert Geriatric Center is a top facility in the area, and it is purely private pay, so it is expensive. All the people who work there are happy. It is very clean, and the food is very good and very well prepared. They are very flexible with the patients. "

"My sister in law is satisfied with Meridian Village, they seem to be taking good care of them, and it's a good thing. The rooms were nice, the food was very good, and it seems they have a lot of entertainment coming in. I was there, and there were 2 or 3 things going on that were very nice. She's been there over a month, maybe 2 months. The facilities are fine, and the staff I have been involved had been very helpful, very nice, and very good."
