"I moved my mom to Regency Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She loves it, and we love it. The staff is good. They're a step ahead of me, and before I ask it's done. The food is good and the room is big. She has her full bath."

"My wife was at Willowbrooke Court at Magnolia Trace for rehab. It was a nice place, and they gave her excellent care. They were well-equipped. My wife had a private room with two beds in it, a private bath, and it was adequate. She had good food, and she was very pleased with their care. Her therapy went well. The staff was very caring and very responsive. They allowed her to participate in some games and she also had some entertainment at times. They had a central location for television where they showed some special programs."

"My Father was a resident in the Alzheimer's unit. He recently passed away a few months ago. In the chaos of everyday life I never got a chance to thank y'all for the care you gave my Dad. I know the VA gets a bad rap in the press but every time I came to see him he was clean, well fed and happy and well taken care of. I thank y'all for that. Your staff was always caring and attentive to not just my Dad but to every person I saw them interact with. You should be proud of your people and pleaase thank them all for me. "

"My wife is in Millennium Nursing & Rehab Center at the present time. This was much better, much cleaner, and much neater than most of the others. I find the staff's work ethics to be very good. I had zero problems with them. I have had contact with the lady nurse there and also the administrator, and we've had several good discussions. The nurses are awesome. There is one nurse that is a little bit more courteous than some of the others, but all of them are very nice. The food looks very good. They have religious groups that come in from time to time, and they have bingo. She is in a private room with a very comfortable bed, own heating and air-conditioning system, a window in every room, Venetian blinds, and a large bathroom. The bathroom is centered between two rooms. They're both females, and it's a very good arrangement. It has a standalone closet, where we keep her clothing and stuff in. Everything is fine. I would recommend this place. "

"The faculty and most of the nursing staff were very good. Many were extremely compassionate and kind. I am sure like everyone during covid they did not have enough staff. Whenever I had a question or concern, they were extremely good at helping me. This facility is smaller than most, and I really appreciated that option. My mother did not participate in an Events or games and she really was not able to. However, sMy mother did not participate in events or games and she really was not able to. However, she enjoyed having her nails done. I would highly recommend this facility."

"My Mom received exceptional care following a hip fracture from a traumatic fall at home. The entire staff was helpful, friendly, attentive and caring. Her PT, OT and speech therapists helped her regain strength and function within just 3 weeks so she could return home. Her medical team, with the nursing staff and nurse practitioner, was excellent. The facility did a good job working within the constraints of the mandatory COVID protocols. Special care and attention was given to my Dad with dementia when he came to visit her during visiting hours. I highly recommend Valley View Health and Rehabilitation. "

"We like South Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. My mom likes it pretty well, too. The physical and occupational therapists are very good. They work with her every day. So, I would recommend them. It is also very clean. The staff is real receptive to all the residents. Her room has a shared bath, and she's OK with it. The food is excellent. She likes everything that they serve. They serve a large amount of food for everyone, with meat, two vegetables, a dessert, tea, and water. Each meal is large. It's not skimpy at all. She comments that she's going to gain the weight back that she's lost. I think they do a good job with the maintenance as well. It is a little pricey, but they got a very helpful, very kind, and very attentive staff."

"Mom is in Athens Convalescent Center. The staff is friendly, but the food is inadequate and it's not decorated well inside or out. It's often not clean, and it smells bad. They're not encouraged to do any activities, nor have I witnessed any activities. It's understaffed."

"My dad has been at Athens Health and Rehabilitation for over a month now. He's a handful and is declining right now but they're doing a really good job taking care of him. They've all been wonderful to me and my dad. They've done everything they can to take care of him. His room is clean. I have nothing bad to say about that. They have a calendar of activities to do there but my dad has not participated in them. I appreciate what they do for him. I couldn't do their job, and my hats off to anybody that does what they do."

"I found this facility lacking in medical attention given my mother. I found that the physician only came around once per week and was never available for the family to consult with. I found that, although my mom was one week from death and coughing continually from kidney failure, the staff made no effort to see that she got the proper medical care. I had to make the call which was too late. I was depending on the nurses to know what her problem was and get her treatment. They said no, I was the one who determines if she needs hospital care. What are the trained nurses role here? "

"My father-in-law was at Elk River Health and Rehab, but he passed away. We chose it because it was located near our home. It was just right down the road from where we live, so we decided to go with that. It's a nursing home, but they offer rehabilitation services also. He was admitted there from the hospital to get some rehab and to build him up, but he ended up passing away before we could get him built up. It's an older facility, but they're in the process of building a brand new one. It will probably be built next year. The staff members were very good. They answered all of our questions. They were very helpful. We were not allowed to go in because of the COVID situation. They have a no-visitor policy, but they always welcomed us to the window. We would come in and they would let us talk to him on the phone. They were just very friendly and helpful. They took very good care of him."

"My mom is at the Summerford Health and Rehab, and she loves it there. The food is very balanced. She seems to be eating well, too, and that's good. I was very impressed that it's more than just hamburgers and hot dogs. They get to eat meat and green vegetables, and she enjoys it. The staff members we met were very compassionate and very caring. They're really good. It's an older facility, though, and they really need to do some updates."
