My brother is currently a resident at Elmhurst Care Center. The facility is exceptionally clean, the food is delicious, and the staff is attentive to the residents. My brother was in another home before this that was filthy, served food I wouldn't serve to my dog, and the staff was nasty. Thank goodness he was sent to Elmhurst. I have witnessed staff members spoon feeding residents who were not able to feed themselves. Bless the good people there for their hard work.

Rooms are okay the floors are kept clean. The staff do the best they can considering they short staff, they need more people to work here.

There is only a handful of CNA’s that care about their job quality. It is mostly a revolving door. A resident will not have the same CNA so no real connection to the residents needs are ever met. At a minimum a CNA should at least be a good observer yet shifts and mealtimes go by with CNA’s never noticing simple correctable problems with residents ranging from quality of life issues to important health signs. If you bring something to their attention it will be resolved but to count on them to notice it on their own will never happen. Not happy with my dads care there. If you do bring something to their attention and they say they know about it, ask to see if the documentation of when they first saw the problem. It won’t exist because they are just covering for their own incompetence.

5years ago they were OK. Now they have 4 CNA's per 40+ residents per floor. The care is weak. They don't change the residents urine soaked clothes very often. They check every 2-3 hrs but nothing is done. The administration is useless. There are many employees that have difficulty speaking.

Do not send your elderly here. They will be neglected and ignored. My mother was here no more than 36 hours and died because they did not give her the required medication. Avoid this place at all costs.

Very nice place, seems clean and appealing, however the staff or aids seem to be overwhelmed, there is a constant yelling to patients.

Elmhurst was beautiful, and they were caring to the seniors there. They were able to go around and not confine to one spot; it was really nice, but unfortunately my father did not have the coverage that would keep him there longer. You have a 24hr nurse station, and you have home attendants that come do your laundry and clean your room. You have books downstairs and beautiful scenery. They are friendly, caring and there were people helping with feeding some of the other people. They had two rooms on each end where it was like a living roomwhere they could sit down and watch TV, and then they had another room that was the cafeteria. I wish I could afford it, but it’s very expensive.
