I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

As of 8/24/22 Odelia Healthcare is the only place In New Mexico I would send a loved one in need of rehabilitation. My 94 year old father received excellent rehabilitation healthcare after spending a week in Presbyterian Hospital. The entire facility was very clean and the room was thoroughly cleaned daily. The entire staff worked as a unified team. I was most impressed with their distribution of responsibilities. There was always a nurse attending to constant healthcare needs while another nurse was responsible for detailed distribution of medications. They stayed in communication with the each other and the nutritionist who stayed in communication with physical therapy and the social services office. The admin office was easy to work with and Covid testing was conducted daily. The food was excellent and my father could even order seconds! These professionals were instrumental in getting dad back on his feet. Thank you Kyira, Melissa, Jacob, Angel, Danielle, Lauren and Brandon and entire staff for your dedication to real healthcare.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Had my grandfather there. He received the best care he could have. All long term facilities get a "bad wrap" . I found the staff very caring, and taking care of business. The food is the best I have encountered for a long term facility. I am thankful that there is people out there that will care for my grandfather, I am unable to. I am a nurse so I understand the in and outs. THANK YOU!!! It was a caring staff of health care professionals. I would have had him in no other place. Thank you all for your help and thoughtfulness. Great nurses both the LPNS, and the RNS. To the CNAS you all are great thank you again.

Friend or relative of resident

I would strongly advise NOT using this company. Never in my life have I encountered such a miss-managed place. We had our mom in there for restorative. They restored nothing. She had a bed sore upon arrival that she got from the hospital; after almost 5 months of being there, it never improved, only got worse. They wrenched her shoulder twice in process of transfers, and we filed a complaint. Never addressed. We requested an MRI for it and was refused citing insurance wouldnt pay. That should have been on their dollar, they did the damage to her. We requested podiatry services and never got it. This is a service they list that they provide. She was verbally abused by an aide, we filed a complaint, never addressed. We had filed 3 complaints total. Not one was addressed. And the food is horrible. I have seen stuff come out of that kitchen that is indescribable as to what it was. I'm serious... I looked at a grey lump of something and couldn't tell what animal it was supposed to be. The kitchen staff was clueless as to what she was supposed to get with regard to dietary needs. They couldn't follow directions if their life depended on it. She'd get stuff she wasnt supposed to have, missing stuff she was supposed to get. Probably unskilled labor. I blame leadership, not the staff. Apparently, our economy has affected the nursing home industry in a big way. They cut corners where they should not. And those that do work there, half of them are the kind that walk their way backwards to the paycheck window. Kudos to some of the caring nurses and aides; there are a few good gems there but they are understaffed and over worked. There was a recent change of administration, the new administrator has his work cut out for him. If I was him, I'd take a good look at some of the other department heads. A few more heads should roll. Does he care... is the question?

Augh! The worst experience ever!

The Medicare rating of 1 out of 5 stars is right on the money!! Check it out at Medicare.gov We knew in less than a week that it was the WRONG place for my son!!! The only decent aspects of the facility is that the maintenance department goes out of their way to make your loved one comfy. They provided a very nice bed, tv, winged chair and various comfort items. The CNA's, who provided most of the care, were very compassionate and seemed to take a genuine interest in my son's care. The rehabilitation was almost non existent. The food is lousy. The "nurses" (lpn's not registered nurses) gossip too much and didn't provide medication on some days or were really late on providing the meds!! I feared for my sons health and safety every day!! The administration blocked my sons transfer by demanding payment for the day they actually decided to finally provide therapy. The worst experience ever!! No help from the social worker. Concerns go in one ear and out the other!! Good riddance! I'm glad my son is finally out of there!!!
