Truman Farm Villas

I visited a friend at the independent living community of Truman Farm Villas. It has a pool, a gym or exercise room, and a laundry facility. I like that it's gated, but there's not much staffing. That's probably why my rating is average, because there are only one or two staff members, which is the problem there. They also change staff a lot. I noticed the maintenance schedules and things like broken elevators. It's probably because it is an older building from the 70s or the 80s. There's no food provided. You're responsible for your own cooking and cleaning and all that kind of stuff. For activities, they do Bingo, picnics, and barbecues. They also had a garage rummage sale the other day for charity. My friend is in a 2-bedroom apartment, and she complains about the fee going up, even though people are on a fixed income. I need something that's more income-based for myself, instead of what they have here. Their monthly rent is quite a bit for me. On top of that, they could also improve their maintenance and keep their elevator working.

Truman Farm Villas was a very nice village. The person who showed us around was very knowledgeable and very friendly. It was just too expensive for me. The layout of the apartment was small for me, but it was nice. They had a washer and dryer hookup. It was a one-bedroom that I looked at. They have an option where you could get a fireplace.
