The rooms are very clean and spacious. They are slowly remodeling the rooms. The staff (aides and nurses) are always accessible and friendly. The housing director has been a tremendous help in making sure my mom has the proper care. The recreation director has so much energy and tries to engage all the residents. She is constantly looking for new activities. It would be nice if they were able to offer more activities during the weekend. The kitchen staff are courteous and try to make sure that everyone has something to eat at every meal.

The staff at Roitenberg Family Assisted Living Residence was very good and listened to us. I had some concerns and they were addressed even before we said anything about moving my mom there, so they were accommodating. They were doing some remodeling. I liked the facility. It seemed a little more personable. It was a little bit smaller than the other place, that's why I liked it too. I liked the layout. It seemed a little simpler for my mom to get around there. They cost more, and that was another consideration of where to move my mom. We were kind of introduced to the staff as we were taking a tour, and they all seemed very friendly. I didn't have lots of conversations with everybody, but in meeting them, they seemed very receptive and welcoming.

I believe there is a huge difference in quality of care between profit driven providers and faith based ones- mostly because of my experience with Sholom and Roitenberg Memory Care vs the other options I explored prior. It is clearly a calling for the people who work at Roitenberg- they take SUCH good care of my mom- they shower her with love, they are super conscientious about protecting the rights and dignity of each resident and they are excellent communicators. Their processes are transparent- and they are honest and proactive about what they could do better when things don't go according to plan. My mom is thriving and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Sholom and Roitenberg. I've met a number of non-Jewish residents there as well who seem to be just as well adjusted as my mom. The memory care unit is clean and cozy and comfortable.

Roitenberg Assisted Living is a beautiful newly remodeled facility. Our family member in Memory Care is well care for by their dedicated staff, who REALLY gets to know each resident, & their likes/dislikes. The MC team does a great job providing a wide array of activities for residents, and they stay in touch with families. On the business end, the finance and housing office always returns calls and are pleasant to work with. The meal plan has improved since our resident moved to Roitenberg. For those special food items that Roitenberg doesn’t carry, purchase a mini refrigerator for your studio.

There are 55 apartments and only about 25 or less residents on site. About 15 people go to dinning room every day and food is not good, My mother lost 40 lbs over this last year due to food quality and bullying from another resident causing severe mental distress which was not prevented or addressed. There is very little social acitivites as well and the facility is in decline. New management this past year has revealed many cracks in this facility including a lack of safety.. Beware!! Due to this unhealthy environment I had to relocate my mother.

Our visit at Roitenberg Residence was very good. We saw the program, we liked the food, and we met with the staff. It was a very positive experience. The living atmosphere was excellent. The dining area was good. The activities included news time, music time, exercises, and movies. They keep them busy. The daytime staff was very good, but the nighttime staff isn't as good. It was a very attractive place; I liked the set-up.

My mother is in Roitenberg Family Assisted Living. It seems like a really good place. The people are friendly and caring. They are able to establish a rapport. The rate is comparable, and the food is good.

Roitenberg is excellent. After all the tours and conferences I had with their intake counselor, I felt very confident and was looking forward to my parents living in there. The rooms and apartments were great. It was very clean, roomy, and very safe.
